---Panama, my personal newsletter--- ###A Prayer to God ### Thank you Daddy. Just thank You! I want to say it over and over. With my hands lifted up high and with tears in my eyes, I want to  declare Your greatness. You are almighty and powerful. You are my Daddy. I am proud to be Your son. God, You know the struggles and temptations we have gone through. There were so many fights God, so many restless night. But with a heart of freedom and peace, I can say I am finally at rest. Tears of JOY are forming a...

Ya mon this is Jamaica mon

These words pronounced with a strong carribean accent, Usain Bolt, Bob Marley, Rastafarians and Cool Runnings were about the sum total of what I knew about Jamaica. After our visit to the island, this picture got some colour. Turqoois, clear water, a small island with hills and lush vegetation, hundreds of Palm trees, tropical fruits, friendly people and a tropical laid back atmosphere were added. What is sad about this picture is the smell of dagga that completes it. Dagga is cheaper than food and holds so many captive.    We arrived at Kingston and was spoiled with Blue...

Uba Cuba

Uba Cuba
Lets do the time hop again!! Back to the 1960s. The first two days of Cuba I did not say much, which is very unusual for me. I was trying my best to take in everything going on around me! I stood at the airport looking at old American and Russian cars driving past as the norm and the one or two modern cars looked very out of place. Yet the people driving the cars looked very modern and trendy. The buildings are grand and ancient, the streets are swept clean and on every corner there is a little vendor...

My adventure through the land of many waters

Guyana, it's jungles stretch out as far as you can see in every direction. The land of many waters is true to its name, from the rivers and creeks flowing in every direction, to the lakes hidden deep in the Amazon Jungle. It really is a beautiful country. The church where we were located is a part of "Full Gospel Fellowship" which has a collection of over 150 churches across Guyana. We were privileged to have the never ending jungle stretch out behind our house, and a smooth, very skate-able roads to the front. The community where we...

Hope's Garden

Hope's Garden Jeremy woke up with dust all around him, and the neighbours cat licking his toe, where he had cut it the previous night, when he stepped into a broken glass on the way to his house. Jeremy looked for something to eat, but only found green bananas. That was it, today he was going away, that is what his mother and his big sister had done. But that has been a couple of years ago, before he could tie his own shoe laces. He could see his Granny was half asleep as he walked out of the door,...

Jamaica, you are a star!

Jamaica, you are a star!
As we got off at the airport, I immediately felt the carefree Caribbean atmosphere and it felt like holiday. As part of the yellow team I went to St Ann's Bay, a bay near many tourist attractions on the north coast of Jamaica.   In St Ann's Bay our team experienced real Jamaican vibes.    In the words of Bob Marley "Don't worry about a thing. Every little thing is gonna be alright."    (And yes Bob Marley is an idol among most people. Most consider him as a "national hero")   The church we stayed in is about...

Cuba, back in the sixties !

Cuba has his own particular beauty: We discovered it the minute when we went out of the airport... The country being still ruled by a communist government, importation into Cuba is very expensive and difficult. Therefore, Cuban cars for example are still the same cars that the american citizen left in Cuba after Fidel Castro's revolution ! Cuban people are just being fixing again and again the broken parts. Not only the cars, but also the building are very old, and the locals way of living is also very different. It gives a filling to be back in the sixties,...

Jamaica : Ya man !

Usually when we land into a new country, we are always a little bit lost on the airport, not really knowing where to go for the first minute, and then we organize ourself. Our landing to Kingston, Jamaica's capital was very special. Someone was waiting for us, and directed us to a VIP lounge, where we waited for the Pastor to come and pick us up... We had free coffee and soft drinks, what a blessing ! Later, we learned that the Pastor is also involved with the crew of the airport, that explained this special threat ! The next...
