2 weeks in training, not only is the challanges personal. But the spirretial is the most challanging. I am learning to really hear the lords voice. Thank you Lord, for your passions in my Life!
Two and a half hours of free time in Santa Marta, Colombia. The desire of guitar and coffee at the seaside burns in my heart. Because I don't have a lot of money left, thus I boil water, take my flask and loyal old plastic cup with a bag of South African hot chocolate. With Eileen's guitar in hand I head towards the beach. I look for one of the very few spots of shade that is not occupied. I take my seat on a little wall next to the ocean. I was busy writing a new song, and that...
What is Kosovo So before I start this update, please let me first share a bit about Kosovo. Kosovo is almost their own independent country, they used to be part of Serbia and in 2008 they declared independence, but since Russia that has a veto vote in the UN does not recognise them as an independent country they are still not fully independent, but under European Union curatorships. On top of that Turkey also claim that Kosovo is part of Turkey because of the battle of Kosovo in 1389 where the emperor of the Ottoman empire was assassinated and his...
It is a freezing August morning in the city of La Paz, Bolivia. Bravely, Andri and I head up a very steep hill to witness the sunrise over the snow covered mountains and the age old buildings of the city situated in the valley. With coldish coffee we witnessed the break of day with the beautiful red and orange colours that start to play over this endless possibilities of a new day. Looking at pictures like this, the reality strikes you once again: I am in another continent! The reality of knowing that you are far away from the sun...
The highly awaited highly anticipated, grand Luke 10 journey. You might have heard about it, maybe you have participated in it, maybe you have met a crazy person who have been through it, or maybe you have never heard about this very unique journey! To try to explain it as simple as possible: it is a journey you as a small group embark on for a few days. Our team did it for 7 days (6 nights). It is based on the principles in Luke 10, where Jesus sent out His disciples. He...
2 months of Australia, 1 of Tasmania! Half of the team is here on the island, doing volunteer work at farms and houses, the other half is at sheep farms, raising founds for the rest if the year and maybe an extra country! (Muller still with us in Spirit) There's time for going out on the streets, and time for working, "embrace the season you're in" or you'll never live fully.. Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. (Matthew 5:4-5 NIV)
The preaching list... Definition: “A sequenced list with names of the Hidden World 2014 team predicting when one would prepare and present a message to a church, school, assembly or gathering.” A.K.A – THE LIST! I knew my time of preaching will soon be here. And I looked forward to it! The previous time when it was almost my turn, the Lord threw a surprise at my front door. In Guyana, which already feels like it was ages ago, our team split into our small teams to visit two different churches on one sunny Sunday morning. Tiaan gave us the...
This is Si, she can't really speak English, but yet, we talked for more than 30 minutes. The only thing she could tell me was that I reminded her of her grandchild, whom she hasn't seen for quite a long time, so I just smiled and with no rush spent that time with her. Love is simple. Thailand
