  Deus muda tudo quando quer e na hora que quer...foi um momento muito especial para todos nos que estavamos na Colombia...para chegar la foi mais que um desafio ..sair entao uma volta ao mundo...Deus nos mostrou muitas coisas e nos ensinou também!! Muita coisa foi mudada, mas ainda tem muito o que mudar e ser trabalhado!! o desafio continua!! Gloria a Deus por isso..queo Senhor continue trabalhando em nossas vidas!! Enquanto ha tempo!!!! rumo ao Peru..proxima para Chiclayo!!...montanhas...ferreñafe!! confins da terra!!! God changes everything when he wants and when he wants ... it was a very special moment for all...

Buenas Dias (good day) from the thriving city of Bogota, Colombia.

Currently we find ourselves in the third highest city in South America found in the Andes mountains, 8500 meters above sea level, unwinding from two weeks of toiling and really applying the “getting down to earth” core value of global challenge.  As we begin to shift focus to our next crazy adventure to Peru, we invite you to embark on a short stroll down memory lane in Fusagasuga, Colombia.

 

Ola por favor! (Hello, please!) This is a common phrase used by Southbound in Brazil, mostly because we just don’t understand the language too well!

 

They say pictures are worth a thousand words and speak louder than words (or is it actions).  Well, either way, pictures capture the action…   So, without further a due, dum-dum-dum!  (That’s the sound of drama)  Presenting (for your viewing pleasure):  A short, Yellow team photo montage of Ubatuba – Brazil.

 

Four noble challengers (one handicapped: deaf and dumb to Portuguese), 13 tasks, 20 hours with one goal… to be the best team… oh wait but already are.

 

It is not easy for any of us, but we have to travel... friends were made ... character created , disciples, worked ... lessons learned and renewed energy ... All we could do here was done ... now we need to follow the sequence in God's plans! this is just the beginning of everything the Lord has for us ... and the beginning it was a challenge for everyone ... but I learned early on that God loves me very much, more than i imagined! having to leave is not easy, but it is necessary to fulfill the journey .....

Acho que até agora o nosso desafio fora outrso tem sido dormir aqui no Brasil... não por falta de cama, ou lugar , mas por falta de tempo.O pessoal da igreja Ágape (minha igreja :)..) é muito animado..até demais...construir relacionamentos aqui está sendo muito gostoso...o amor de todos por nós...o carinho...em poucas semanas estão quase todos do south bond falando português...é muito bom!! As familias se juntando..quebrando barreiras..diminuindo as distancias..o Senhor é maravilhoso.. tem falado muito conosco e trabalhado muito em nosso carater..aprender a depender dEle é a melhor parte...Todos os dias é uma lição nova...acordo todo dia com uma...

And now for the play by play...

14 days, 2 days, 20 310 km, 3 airports, 5 time zones, 3 bus trips, 250 kg of luggage (excluding hand luggage), 1 lost bag, 1 free meal in airport, 4 games of ninja, lots of fun and laughter, praise&worship in the most random places, Global Challenge lifestyle:  priceless!  (Well, technically not actually – donations welcome…)

We started out in the Transkei with a lot of uncertainty, and yet that is where God just loves to come and bless you with surprises!  From arriving and pitching our tents in the dark, we woke up to the most stunning view over Coffee bay! It was amazing to experience how open the community was in lending us the tools we need for building the fence and jungle gym:  pick axes, spades, wheelbarrows, "koevoet", pliers... Heaven's flood gates were really open! Then the work started! A typical day would start with solo time at 06:00; breakfast at 07:00;  D-groups...
