While we were in Lima(Peru) we had to drive to Jicamarca with a public bus just about everyday. It's about an hour's drive depending on the days traffic . On our way there Pastor George would tell us to sing a song. We would sing "Open the eyes of my heart, Lord" in English and Spanish. After the song he would point to one of the team members and ask that person to share a testimony. That was quite an interesting experience to stand up in a bus full of people and start sharing. This continued untill we got to...

So many time in my life I had Asked myself, why? Why doesn’t I hear the voice of God, my Father or even Jesus my best friend? The word “relationship” have a definition that really made me think 💭 Relationship- The state of being connected by blood . Luke 22:20 “After supper he took another cup of wine and said, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood, which is poured out as a sacrifice for you.” How cool is this just to think about it. We are connected to God through...
I've appreciated the concept of being real and I've seen the impact it has in other people's lives, but I've never really been as real as I need to be. To live in the nations is not a joke. I've gained respect for people who leave their country to go and do the work of God in another country. There is a lot of challenges like cultural differences, language barriers and the unfamiliar. You learn to not seek your comfort in people, coffee, sleep and the list continues. All things are only temporary in this world and you will...
To be quite honest I struggled alot with my emotions going on a crazy roller coaster the past two months! A little while ago I started feeling emotionally exhausted. I couldn't understand why I would one minute feel so joyful and the next I would feel hopeless and tired. Until recently God revealed to me more about what was really going on. So as we have a physical realm (everything we see and touch), we have just as real spiritual realm where there is many many spiritual dark forces from Satan constantly attacking us with lies and fiery arrows...
Travel challenge, was the announcement at the end of Thailand. We were to travel from the north of Thailand until Panang Island in Malaysia, about 2000km and only enough money for food. So before we head out we all gather together in groups of 3, praying, asking the Lord and acknowledging him to direct our path. We prayed for about 15 min and soon we all believed to have gotten pictures from the Holy Spirit. In unity we all remarkably recieved picture that was almost simular. We recieved pictures of the sun, the sunset over the sea as well as...
It is so easy for me always to share all the amazing things God is doing through us, what we have been learning and how we have been growing, altough these things are very true. Sharing all our struggles, weaknesses and faults, is a very different story. Being real and honest can be excruciatingly vulnerble and uncomfortable, but what is clear for me after almost seven months of traveling is that it is in our uncomfort where the Lord does most of His work. In my walk with Jesus over time I noticed that it feels like sometimes I go...
I expected myself to write something about how working with sheep taught me so much about myself, because the Bible so often likens us to sheep. Don’t get me wrong, it’s true. But, I feel I need to write about something else. It’s hard to sum up the two months, but I think 2 important things that come to mind is: 1. Speaking life and 2. Working with integrity. I was reminded of, and shown, the power of speaking life. It’s so natural for us to throw an insult here or a ‘joke’ there, without thinking about the consequences. It’s...
This is something I started writing quite a while ago but I never finished it because I felt that I needed to perfect it in some way. But I realized the truth is that our daily (and what we sometimes feel as insignificant) struggles are very real. Sometimes the healing process is a continuous journey. Everything is not always as perfect as an instagram post. Too many people compare their happiness these days based on the posed happiness they see on social media. So in all realness and vulnerability.. I've been struggling and journeying a lot on beauty...
There is an importance, and incredible value, in sharing with a group, whether it’s your family or a homecell group. There is something amazing that happens when we share what we are thankful for with each other and when we share our stories and testimonies with each other. It’s important to live in a community where we can trust each other and open up. In Bali I discovered the importance of a group. You always hear about how important it is to be part of a group where you are able to open up, and feel safe doing so, but...
My breath excitedly racing My heart smiling My eyes sparkling My cheeks glowing.. As I play hide and seek with (very adorable) Taiwanese nine year old boys. What was once in my heart meant to be a plain straightforward ruled out game for little kids instantly changed to what I now perceive as the foremost adventurous hiding, looking, running, stopping, jumping, rolling, peaking, crouching and last but not least seeking. I almost tripped as I ran from underneath a little shelter to jumping underneath a railing and crouching behind a bush because I couldn't help but laugh as my adventurous...
