The Natural Response

LRM_EXPORT_20180218_192346
"Forgiving" people is such a natural response when it comes to us as human beings. The words almost fall out of our mouths, but deep inside you still feel the hatred, anger or disappointment toward the other person. It is not that you don't want to forgive them, it is just that you feel incapable of doing it yourself.   Well sorry to break it to you, but it is... We don't have the power to forgive people out of our own strength, even though we really want to. We can only truly forgive people when we give it all...

Fighting Shadows

IMG-20190211-WA0000
"If you want something you have never had, you must be willing to do something you have never done" Thomas Jefferson So here I am. I stand on the brink of a year filled with what one can only describe as an adventure only to find over the last three months I've experienced much of exactly that. New levels of faith, love, exceptance and solid lessons to point us in the right direction . Firstly, I found myself as an only child drop kicked to the deep end and forced to live between 15 men. I've been so loved by...

I am chosen

Screenshot_20190211-08103_20190211-061409_1
I'm not good enough  I'm not worthy I'm fat I'm ugly I'm full of flaws I'm damaged goods I'm unfixable   These are all the lies I believed. These are the lies that corrupted my thoughts. These are the lies that damaged my heart.    But  God came and spoke truth in me.  I AM good enough I AM worthy  I AM wonderfully made I AM beautiful  I AM perfect I AM everything He wants me to be   He set me free from the enemies grasp. And He told me that I am chosen. He has chosen me to...

LETTING GO OF THE YOKE

Today marks 1 month of the unexpected journey that is Global Challenge in my life, so far I have been reeducated in almost every area of my being. In one month God has miraculously stretched my faith filled me with his spirit and taught me so many truths. He has abolished the lies killed off the fears and taught me what true love means, the kind that is without expectation of getting anything back the kind that Jesus was the perfect example of. Saying that this is my latest truth.   A popular example of explaining the place I have...

Do you have a heavenly or a cheesecake type of love ?

6F332716-E599-419D-95C1-C60EFF7F135F
Over the past month my world has been flipped upside down! Things I thought I knew, I realized I had no understanding of. One of these concepts was love. It mentions in 1 Cor 13 how important love is and all of its fruits of it such as kindness and patience.    This is the type of love my heart so longed for and desperately wanted but unfortunately I found myself falling back into the old, cheesecake type of love. This type of love is cheap, doesn’t last long and only speaks with words and not actions. It was a...

Just Stop and Think

E678C078-9BBE-46B0-9BF9-F070B6562327
Have you ever had the experience where you’re thinking about something and then you realize, how can you think that you are thinking about something? Wow , what an amazing feeling. Scary but incredible.  Every time that I find myself thinking about something, I just stand in awe of the absolute majestic feeling of being able to think and the idea of that just numbs me to stop and think... The scary thing about life is that we are so busy and when we’re not busy we are busy making plans for being busy. Just thinking about this idea makes me...

A Roaring Start

_20190927_112117
After a year and a half of preparation and excitement overload, the journey has begun! My heart had been stirring for missions and when Global Challenges was mentioned in conversation, this overwhelming peace flowed over me and a resounding, "Yes! This is what I've been searching for!" echoed within.  One of the highlights of training so far has been the revelation of how I see God. The team was listening to some worship and a line of the song mentioned something about seeing Him. Now, I am a very visual person and an animal lover so bear with me here....

In the Silence

download
I'm in a quick moving tin shell running underground with many souls on board. No word is said  No sound is made Eyes don't wonder off their screens, books or newspapers,  And I can only wonder how one of the biggest cities in the world could become so quiet? Eyes that look up, hastily shy away with a hint of fear within - what are they looking at? What will they see or say? I can merely smile with sadness,  My heart filled with compassion for a people who have lost the ability to interact.    What will become...

The beauty of weakness

IMG_20190202_095459_564
Heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free. What an instruction! Pondering upon this quest, contemplating whether I will be able to do it or not; a still voice gently reminds me of how incapable I actually am to do this. I can not in my own strength nor with my own words heal and set free.   I am so humbled by the fact of how incredibly useless we are as human but still our beautiful God choose to use us and makes us bearers of His Light and Glory. What an amazing privilege! We are able to freely...
