9Walking in the rural area of Krabi (Thailand), Adette and I found a little playgroup. Barefeet we entered the little cresh and statred to play with them. We bought them sweeties, toys and printed out photos of them to keep. "vrot eier" without a word is quite strange, but OH so much fun!!! They opened up really quickly and as if they understood us they gave themselves completely. It is amazing how a smile can reach the deepest corner of your heart and thet from a little Thai child who can't understand you, neither can you understand them. 2Corinthians 9:8...
Bubble bubble toil and trouble. Eye of newt Miles of smiles Stir the rainbow twice Dance around in bells and SHOUT A dash of lavender, a pinch of salt Slowly let it brew... 5 teams jumbled together, one challenge, TONS of fun! It's a bit like putting together the kids from Captain Planet, connecting the rings, and then seeing where the adventure awaits. We (Mari, Elizma, Tjaart, Herman, & me) started the day with lots of enthusiasm, then we found out about the liquid breakfast we were about to receive - raw egg. Yum. We had a...
Here we are with our religious backgrounds in Guatemala, with an amazing Pastor that came from worshipping Satan to worshipping the Almighty one Jesus Christ..... Ok so we started off by Ben (The Pastor) telling us to leave all our religious baggage, come with a teachable spirit. And let the Holy Spirit work in this time and forth. Ok so we had the training in the beginning of the year with FCE that was awesome and gave us a firm foundation to stand on, and to fight for Christ! But there was just more, God wanted to refine us more...
The GC Team exploring London Spending time with my housmates, Ida and Nicolene Enjoying lunch with Yana and Veronica, my work colleagues from STA Travel My sister and her husband Megan , my sister's daughter
Normal 0 Somebody saw it fit to divide us into radnomly selected new teams and let us run around London unchained. If you’re in your head going “why oh why?” feel free to say it out loud. This was my first reaction too! Our never ending journey to figure out whatever’s going on in our leaders’ heads experienced a set back and we’re back to square one! The London Challenge was different to say the least. Not a good or a bad different, just different… Each of us was divided into a new team, except for the white...
Faithfull Disciple GOD CALLS THE YOUNG! When Jeremiah (the prophet) was a youth, God spoke to him about his destiny. Here's what He said, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations." But Jeremiah didn't think he had what it takes to actually walk in that anointing and so he replied, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth." But the Lord didn't buy into that! Instead, He encouraged Jeremiah with these words: " Do not say , '...
Daar is die heeltyd ‘n stryd in elkeen van ons. Soos twee honde wat baklei,‘n wit hond en ‘n swart hond. En die een wat wen is die een wat jy voer! Watter een voer jy? Hoe voer jy hom? Rom7:24...
As promised here's a brief summary of day 6 through to day 12. After we left Omar in Salina Cruz we hiked along the scenic coastal route. And scenic it is! We're all in accordance that this is some of the most beautiful land we've ever seen, what a privilege it was! After quite a few rides and miles walked we were stranded on a random corner on the outskirts of a little coastal town. We ended up spending the night camping in a yard of a chicken fighting ranch. (In Mexico chicken fights and betting is a big thing) Earlier...
