My first flight

Checking in? It went a little off track than what we thought it would. There were a few technical difficulties and we were not quite booked for our flight to Doha.

But we serve a God of miracles! We were exactly on time for our flight.

I was dropped off by my father, brother in law and sister at the airport in Johannesburg. We shared a quick coffee and then the reality hit me. I'm leaving the country in 3 hours!!!!!!!!!!

It was hard. Every breath hurt as I hugged them and watched them leave. What am I doing?

A chunk of me wanted to grab my luggage and run after them. Screaming to everyone I leave behind that I made a mistake and I've changed my mind.

But I stood. Holding God's hand. Drowning in my tears, drowning in my thoughts. Lord hold me!

As the time went by the tears stopped flowing and only surfaced occasionally. As I stood with my luggage in the check in area of OR I couldn't believe what was happening. I began to giggle in the madness, in the sadness and I was filled with the Joy of God.

Laughing I ran to where we had to dock the plain. Day bag in hand I stood amazed by the planes. So big. So powerful. So full of life. So full of excitement! Then it hit me. Where is your faith? Is your God not greater? Is His love not deeper? Has He not set this year apart for you!!?

No more second thoughts. 2 hours and 20min to go and we land in Doha.
You have set our journey apart Lord!

Let the adventure begin! Our God is greater!
