CHINA: The good, the bad and the absolutely INCREDIBLE!

CHINA: The good, the bad and the absolutely INCREDIBLE!
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE n Still tired from 2 nights in Kuala Lumpur airport and missing home after a few days visiting my parents, I arrived in China. I was pleased to get off that Air Asia plane, as the lady next to me was not at all feeling well, if you know what I mean…. We all get through customs and into the Tianjin airport. As a part of the travel arranging team a few of us head out to find the way to the train station, a seemingly easy task until you are confronted...

REAL transformation

“What is REAL?" asked the Velveteen Rabbit one day...

"It's a thing that happens to you. When [someone] loves

you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but

REALLY loves you, then you become Real."

Ended of well in India

Tomorrow evening, we will land in South Africa. As I reflect on this last month in India, I realise Work Your Way 2015 is ready to go home. Ready for the next journey that awaits us.   Its been a great year. A journey full of lessons learned, adventures, fun and difficult times? Our expectations have been met in more ways than one could imagine.   The first week in India we spent in New Delhi, while we waited for another Global team (Nortbound) to arrive. Together we went to an Orphanage in Kota, South of New Delhi.   It...

HUANG DUI: repentance = usefulness in China!

Since our arrival here in China almost three weeks ago, the Yellow Team (Huang Dui) already have much to report on and share from our hearts! Our team is healthy, excited, unified and humble in order to be used. We travelled from small town to small town for the past while and we did not not have any set program, fixed contact or set-up ministry as a 'what-to-do' so we had to pray about what to do in each town and to meet the right people. During this time we realised, individually and as a team, that we could not be...

Can you feel the excitement?

Can you feel the excitement?
The 7 weeks of training have come to a HECTIC end with a huge amount of excitement, anticipation and expectation. It seems such a long time ago that I arrived in Jeffreys bay, rather nervous being across the other side of the world and not really knowing what to expect. There was nothing to be concerned about though, with the global challenge family being incredibly welcoming. A huge amount has been packed into this time and I really dont know how to describe it all let alone explain how it has impacted my life. So I am going to try sum it...

The Pearl of Africa

The Pearl of Africa
Welcome to the Pearl of Africa… Walking into the nation of Uganda we were greeted by this sign. I don’t know why Uganda was originally labeled this but I do know I have found reasons why it should be. A pearl is formed through an intense process that isn’t easy or simple but once it makes it through the process you have a beautiful pure ball that we now wear and that is expensive to purchase. War, rebels, child soldiers, aids, orphans, poverty… There are still 9 districts in Uganda healing and trying to recover from the trauma from Joseph...

sarahindia_009.jpgSarah Rinn

December 28th, 2007

So here is the scoop on Incredible India.  Sorry it has been so long but for safety reasons we couldn’t get on the website at all while in India.

We arrived in India in early December.  The evening we got in we immediately headed into the heart of Delhi to stay at a “hotel” for the night.  The taxi driver dropped at the end of busy market street a ways down from our hotel...
