Zinder 2

More on Zinder and Tanout A reply from a friend on a last news letter encouraged me to write again. I am so far behind with my update it will be hard to catch up. Our next visit in the district was to a village called Guiduigir about 100 km east of Zinder. We showed the J_sus film at the market square. A large crowed gathered and the people listen intently, we also had a amplifier and the sound traveled far and clear above the generator noise. People sat in front of their houses and shops far away, the projector...

No-man's land

No-man's land
So I'll summarize our 2-day journey as follows: On our "comment/notes"-tab on the Excel spreadsheet of this country, I'll write "Not Recommended." Full stop. Not recommended travelling through (especially!), not recommended going to (definately not!) en not recommended climbing into a taxi with the local taxi driver (eish...). All right, so there is something I'll recommend for this country: I recommend that you pray for it! Our journey consisted of an on-going 36hours through 3 different countries. We travelled in a short-seated minibus, over a river on a glorified canoe, 9 people in a 6-seater Peugot, Then 20 hours with...

Waiting @ Basecamp!

Waiting @ Basecamp!
Basecamp!! Many bright tents with different brands are pitched behind a sanddune @ the Jeffreysbay Caravan Park! Young people from all over South Africa have gathered to prepare and pray for the journey of a lifetime.   Like the Isrealites pitched their tents in the desert and waited for God's presence to come down in a cloud or fire so the Global Challenge Expeditions wait for God at the base of the 2009 before they go into the Nations. We are all very excited and with a huge expectation we wait to see what amazing work God is going to...

A Tour of the Father's Heart for Africa

A Tour of the Father's Heart for Africa
A Tour of the Father's Heart for Africa:  Explore Africa Expedition   Perception through the human eye alone is limited, both in depth and distance. Our weak attempt to see the Father's heart through visual aids offered to us by the world and sometimes by religion itself leaves us abandoned to an even more severe blindness and to oppressive misconceptions of who He is.  My heart's desire is to take on His lenses and embark on an expedition of His Heart for African nations. I am embarking on an adventure to get to know the Father’s heart through service and...

Found my peace in the eyes of my Creator

Found my peace in the eyes of my Creator
Facing the last day of an unforgettable journey in Guatemala... A book can be written about God-appointments, memories, divine relationships and everlasting friendships inspired by the centre of God's heart..   Four years ago, I heard the testimony of a man in Guatemala who not only sold his soul to Satan, but who hated God in such an extent that His salvation prayer ended up to be a proclamation of cursing God, laughing at Him and trying to destroy the very person that God breathed his father breath into. He got showered with God's love and delivered by His mercy. ...

Jesus is ruining my life... (with my permission)

Jesus is ruining my life... (with my permission)
God has been challenging me the last couple of days to share a bit of my personal journey...   ...so this is me being obedient.   The reason I came on this journey, was because 4 years ago the Lord called me specifically for Global Challenge Expeditions in the year I finish school. To be honest, I had no idea what the journey was about, only that  that I had an urgent desire to go. The one motive that drove me, though was to serve and to give A YEAR of my life completely to Jesus' use.    Little...
