DAHAB! is DA BUSINESS!

We had a wonderfull time in Israel filled with spiritual highs and lows! Living in Palestine (Bethlehem) and serving in Jerusalem was a very enlightening contrast to our expectations! Debriefing in Dahab has been such a blessing! Warm weather, beautiful snorkeling just off the shore and fellowshipping and interacting with locals! Great nightlife, beautiful scenery! and just the vibe is so amazing! Taking time to grow into a closer relationship with God and spending lots of time in His word is very needed and a blessing! I was very pleased to meet Bush Bush, a guy who owns a shop...

The random and radical

The random and radical
To say the last 2 ish weeks of training was interesting is as bit of an understatement. But training is done and I am getting the last of my things together since we are lifting of on Tuesday 5 March, so exciting times. "Short" ordered account Training went into the focus on the Holy Spirit with Oom Gerrie coming to visit us. I was excited and scared before we started since I always saw "radical" Holy Spirit experiences as a bit weird, but wanted to know more. Dr Gerrie van den Haas is a medical doctor, but is walking in...

Testimony of God's Faithfulness

So the new year started with a bit of uncertainty, i had and still have a clear call from God to stay involved with GCX for at least another year but the whole time there was a sense that maybe i wouldnt be able to...  Let me explain Last year when we were in china i got eye infection and because i have a history with my eyes the specialist didnt want to  give me "the green light" to be away from home again for such a long time.  Well i decided that i am going to trust God for...

Goodbye India

Our last days in India ... God blessed us with a time of rest. Time to be in His presence and to rest in Him.  Nainital is a beautiful town in the mountainside , in the north of India . A lake that is satiated in the valley.  We had prayer walks around the lake and revelations from Gods word.

I know who holds tomorrow...

New year...new beginnings   Second last week of training and with it one week left I can honestly say that I am not ready yet. Rewind on all the weeks of training and learn everything again. That said I don't think I will ever be ready for a privilege like this. Going out into the nations and speaking His love over them...I'm wonderstruck.  These past weeks I have learned to know and feel God in the stillness but also in the storm. I have learned that He calls me beautiful (Song of Solomon 2:10) and that He loves me with...

incredible !ndia

India is a collage of sights, sounds and feelings that until now I've had difficulty putting into words. In the first place it's the madness of Delhi and the frustrations of that first day. It's the long windy roller coaster roads and our formula 1 drivers, with the angels working overtime. It's the amazing breathtaking Himilayas that stretches as far as the eye can see (when the clouds permit it), with its many hidden valleys, where the people has never even heard the name of Jesus. It's a little boy begging for food, with his baby sibling in his arms....

The secret life of Walter Mitty

The first time I saw this movie I thought it was ridiculous. Who would merely dream of adventure instead of living it? And why is the possibility of unemployment the motivation to get out of one's comfort zone? The second time I watched the movie, I re-examined my own life. I always considered myself adventurous: in eating habits, hobbies and always saying yes to silly scenarios. I have traveled the world and done some pretty cool things. But it is only now, while on a shaky bus through the mountains of Nepal on the way to a remote village that...

Humbling Revelations

Humbling Revelations
Humbled. Silent. Humbly silent. In the busyness of Peru, we still had the privilege of being given time to climb Machu Picchu. Three years of excitement stored up for this moment, I was ready to go - not even the 2000 death steps we had to climb to get to the top could dull the excitement buzzing in me. When we got to the top, we were greeted by thick mist and could hardly see what was in front of us. Trying to stay positive and accepting the fact that I wouldn't get good photos, I stared at the mist...
