Jesus is ruining my life... (with my permission)

Jesus is ruining my life... (with my permission)
God has been challenging me the last couple of days to share a bit of my personal journey...   ...so this is me being obedient.   The reason I came on this journey, was because 4 years ago the Lord called me specifically for Global Challenge Expeditions in the year I finish school. To be honest, I had no idea what the journey was about, only that  that I had an urgent desire to go. The one motive that drove me, though was to serve and to give A YEAR of my life completely to Jesus' use.    Little...

The LIME Luke 10

The LIME Luke 10
A ten day faith journey through Guatemala and Mexico. Our Lime team decided that we are going on this adventure totally dependent on God to provide for everything: food, accommodation, transportation etc. The journey began on Thursday 21 August in Panajachel, Guatemala. We got our first lift and our second and so on, we got money and God provided accommodation and a wonderful meal. We couldn't believe all the things God did - He is so amazing!! The next day we got to the border and were so eager to enter Mexico. But it didn't happen...   First time at...

Anyone For A Deli?

Wow India what a place! had a safe trip from South Africa through Hong Kong straight to New Deli... when i got off the plane i thought India was to be a hot and well smelly country... WRONG!!!! India is a beautiful place it has the most friendliest people here and the cheapest shops I have ever seen. It is not the cleanest city on earth but that does not bother me I just love it here! The spiritual warfare is strong here in India everywhere you go there are temples, shrines idol shops and everyone has their gods on...

Mozambique to Zanzibar

landrover.jpgMozambique/ Zanzibar Journey

Phase One

I've always liked and preferred Land Cruisers. We owned one once and in my dreams I always see myself driving a Land Cruiser through Africa.

Yet, such is God's irony, and humour, that he sent me on a mission trip with a Land Rover. The vehicle I was taught to fear.

Pray for India, Pray for India

Pray for India, Pray for India
Namaste from India. We've been working for almost a week in Emmanuel childrens home in Kota, India.  We are restoring an old hostel/ home that has been neglected.  It's taking a lot of sweat (42-48 degree climate) and early mornings ( 5'0 clock) and lots of strength.  We LOVE what we are doing here but the biggest situation is just that we would like to treat the kids with a nice meal but don't have the funds to support our idea. We need R10 00o to give this children a nice meal with some chicken and maybe a treat. There...

Beauty for ashes

Beauty for ashes
You never know what you can live without until you have to carry everything in one bag on your back -JS This week has been the craziest and probably most frustrating time of my entire life, we didn't get our Macedonia visas and had to come to Israel earlier. I have never felt the need to make notes of what happens to me until I experienced this week and knew I had to tell you guys all about it. I am currently sitting in my tent and decided I HAVE to write. Everything I am using now fits into my...

Red Hill - Broken...

Realisation of devistation15 February 2008 - Red Hill

We dared to face the accusations of many; serve the poor; listen to the broken hearted and wipe the tears of the widows.  With broken hands and feet we have become builders of homes and builders of God’s Kingdom in Red Hill.
