Confusion of a gentile…

Confusion of a gentile…
At first we were taught that the Old Testament is a good read but slightly out-dated and should not be applied to our daily modern lifestyles. Then wars broke out, people began reading their Bibles again and opinions started changing again. This time however, people emphasized certain parts of the Bible to justify picking sides in a battle that everyone seemed to want to be a part of. It was at this point what I first heard that we as believers should align with Israel and pray for the Jews. It was at this point that I learned to...

Consider it pure joy (James 1:2-4)

Indonesia... after Australia I took a fall a literal fall. I was so sick, along with two other, Austin and Mynette's mom. My muscles were so weak I remember one time Austin and I wanted to walk to the Market across the street. Going down the steps was easy coming back up the steps (Elivator was out of order! No jokes) Hell!   We recovered really fast... one day and the next day Calvin and I did Bible study together which was wat we needed (Philippians 3) from then on I was good again until we went to the DG...

My Journey

7 weeks of training already over and oooh wow, what an Amazing time of my life.  The first week of training tested my patience and endurance a lot...Suviver in the bush, that says a lot already ! I wanted to go home soo badly, but then God showed me that He wants me to focus only on Him and nothing else and that I should be so useless that He can actually use me and oh how He used me !!         I experienced God's love and grace for me so much and for the first time...

The Adventure begins!

At the end of 2014 I quit my job as a Physio, said goodbye to my comfortable life in Sea Point and decided to pack my backpack and join Global Challenge in travelling the world to make known to the nations what Jesus has done for us and to share His love. I believe God places a desire in your heart for the reason to bring Him glory and that He gives you talents, interests and passion for that same reason. What a privilege to be part of a group of 16 like minded young people forming the Hidden World...

Kosovo...what happened again?

Kosovo...what happened again?
So it has been a few days since we left the comfort of Europe and arrived here in Asia and it dawned on me that I haven’t really given feedback yet on what we did in Kosovo. With traveling over time zones always comes the intense confusion of not knowing if it is breakfast or dinner time and of course the body only wants to sleep. But I am awake and memories of the west are flooding back, so here is what happened… As going to Kosovo was an unexpected blessing after our China visas didn’t come through, we didn’t...

The greatest privilege

It is such a privilege to travel around the world, encouraging the existing church and to share with people who have never before heard of our Saviour Jesus Christ. During our time in Kathmandu (Nepal), I realised that the world is really in need of God. There is so much idolatry happening everywhere. What made me happy was the thought of bringing the Good News to people who is actually hearing it for the first time in their lives! The sad reality is that they would like to follow our God but due to community oppression, they resist. If they...

Dear Daddy

Personal newsletter Colombia I am standing on my Daddy's feet. Holding Him around His waist. Having a childish laughter when I look at Him. I am glued to Him, nothing can get me off Him. I do not want to let go. I am feeling safe and protected in His presence. I do not care where He is taking me or what is happening around me. No, it does not matter. All that matters is being with my Daddy wherever I go. There is nothing to worry about and nothing to figure out. That is my Daddy's job. Yes, He...

Trapped

I glance around to locate the source       of the relentless voices overwhelming my thoughts. Incoherent noise that fill my ears, seem to be a natural expression of my fears, that no longer are contained by dreaming at night as the monsters of slumber now cloud my sight.   Overwhelmed by my senses I seek isolation for just a few moments of quick contemplation but there is nowhere to run and nowhere to hide if the problem is not external but comes from inside.   With words at a loss I have nothing to say but continue in...
