Dinosaur

I remember as a child my mother fed me these medicine pills that looked like dinosaurs. At first glance this gave the tablet the appearance of some sort of sweet which made me volunteer to eat it, but then the bitter betrayal came when I realized this was some sort of vitamin C junk with the taste of ear wax. I feel in a big way a global year is the same. God comes with the proposal of let's travel the world, make best friends, and win people for the kingdom. With big excitement you say yes but climbing out...

The Royal Way

The Royal Way! God is the King of kings right? The Father we all knows has a Royal Way of providing for His Son's, Galatians 3:26-27. When I first heard of the Royal Way I thought ,"I shouldn't ask or even mention I have no money and expect my Father to give anonymously what ever we needed?" Hahaha CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! We were just walking around in a mall praying for random people when we anonymously received 3500 Baht (R 1500) it was more than enough for 4 people on a Luke 10 journey for 7 days, but it didn't stop...

When things are good... so is God
Ha! Got you to open my blog. While your here you might as well read a bit furher. The Hidden World team has been in Israel for 29 days. It's been fun, rough, tough and blessed. We are leaving tomorrow to the airport, sleeping there and leaving early Saturday morning to Russia. We went across the whole of Israel. We've been north, east, south and west. We were at the Sea of Galilee, Red Sea and Dead Sea a d Mediterranean Sea. We walked, took busses, taxis and hitchiked to places. We bought food, got food given to us and...

Crash Boom Bang – Biking in Brazil

The Brazilians like to bike around. I had my first bicycle accident on my first day in down-town Ubatuba and many were to follow. The first high speed accident was a head-on-collision (going about 2km/ph) with a 10year old boy while I was trying to balance the weeks groceries on the handle bars. There was lettuce and yogurt flying as I was trying to scoop up my pride from the sidewalk – on the wrong side of the road.

Training time in South Africa

Training in South Africa ended yesterday. I'm so happy to share what I have lived with God at this time.    Each week was completely different from each other.    One had the challenge of building a foundation school for adolescents belonging to the Global Challenge. In three days my team of 12 people dug 12 holes 1.5 / 1.5 m and 0.5 m deep in the ground very hard and full of rocks. It was very gratifying to see the work done and delivered at the right time (miracle) and most gratifying yet is know that the foundation...

Off we go!!!

Off we go!!!
Good Day friends. My global challenge training is finished and went well. On Wednesday 3 teams will be flying to Dar essalam, Tanzania from where we will go our separate ways. The last couple of weeks the Global family has invited us into their community and trained us well for the nations. We have been exposed to teachers and mentors from all over the world, importing value into our lives. I've learned so much and experienced practical Christianity. If you step out in faith god will mobilise you through his Spirit. I can truly say Jesus is at the centre...

Presence is best present

Presence is best present
Peace, Joy, Love, Freedom, Hope. These are the things that many search after, long for, strive for and only sometimes catch a glimpse of. On our backpacking challenge in Colombia it was really easy for me to experience all these things. We were in smaller groups travelling for 7 days from Cartegena to Santa Marta. This time was also for reflection, rejuvenation and rest. We could do whatever we wanted! We had a small but manageble budget and our bags were overflowing with special South African treats from the family visit which had just ended. Colombia and for some ...Venezuela...

Hello Hong Kong!

Well, it’s been half a day in Hong Kong and I’m just astounded at everything I see around me: huge malls, massive buildings with nature at the backdoor and LOTS of people going about with their daily lives as we all do…

Our God is a living consuming fire!!!

Our God is a living consuming fire!!!
Thailand is beautiful it looks like a painting coming to life.   We fell in love with the people of Thailand and its beauty!       On our journey we have no choice but to trust God completely for His provision and protection over us where ever we go, because there is no plan B. We had to trust God completely for everything in Phuket and God gave us more than what we needed. Kiranie our host in Phuket and headmaster and owner of a nursery school where we served by preparing and painting the school inside and outside and her amazing...
