After a week of having an truly amazing time in Hong Kong, I can't wait to see what is next. my comfort zone has only become an oasis in my life. There is just too much adventure out in the world. To much God wants us to do. To little time to ponder on if we should or not. To many people we can meet. By love we have been given a choice. Will you allow this wonderful, wild love to come and overtake your life and show you the greatness of the Fathers plan in life. I've felt in...

Good Day friends. My global challenge training is finished and went well. On Wednesday 3 teams will be flying to Dar essalam, Tanzania from where we will go our separate ways. The last couple of weeks the Global family has invited us into their community and trained us well for the nations. We have been exposed to teachers and mentors from all over the world, importing value into our lives. I've learned so much and experienced practical Christianity. If you step out in faith god will mobilise you through his Spirit. I can truly say Jesus is at the centre...
A wise man I know said: 'The mind can only absorb what the bottom can endure.' After the past week I think my mind can absorb a lot more because this was a time my bottom was tested and it endured. Travelling from Bangkok to Phuket on bicycles approx 900 km, what an amazing challenge! We started of full of energy - in the hectic Bangkok, travelling till about 12 pm at night. Exhausted we found a space to sleep, under a roof for the 8 of us. The next few days we faced everything: bikes breaking down, doing a visa run...
So after cold and grey Russia we arrived in Cuba..stepping of the plane I was welcomed with the heat of the Caribbean and people talking, laughing and smiling. Driving out of the airport it felt like I went back in time. There is nothing modern in Cuba, everything is still the Same as in the 80's. I was amazed to see how people just carried on living in that way. The music is everywhere and as you go you catch the one beat from the other one. There's people dancing in the streets in their houses in restaurants....
I remember as a child my mother fed me these medicine pills that looked like dinosaurs. At first glance this gave the tablet the appearance of some sort of sweet which made me volunteer to eat it, but then the bitter betrayal came when I realized this was some sort of vitamin C junk with the taste of ear wax. I feel in a big way a global year is the same. God comes with the proposal of let's travel the world, make best friends, and win people for the kingdom. With big excitement you say yes but climbing out...
Growing up, my father would take us on many vacations to the oceans of the South African east coast. And because of these precious childhood memories, the ocean occupies a special chamber in my heart. Being in it, whether in the calm, still deep or in the gushing waves, I feel an undeniable awareness of my emotional and spiritual self. Because I simultaneously feel so at home and so out of my comfort zone. I experience peace and fear, calmness and excitement, energy and relaxation, all at the same time. And spending our time between the beautiful islands of the...
During our tremendously blessed time in Phuket, we got the opportunity to visit a Tsunami
Memorial. It was there that I for the very first time realised the magnitude of what happened. How many people were touched, how many lives were changed forever. How big is the Lord we serve that He has the power to allow a disaster like that to take place and yet have mercy on so many?
I have been thinking about this topic recently and my understanding of the word faith has just been challenged in so many ways.
What's the definition of contentment? Being satisfied with what you have or where you are. Right? No, there's way more to contenment than just being satisfied. God took me on a journey to experience true contentment.
