Airports, a place where kids run around at arrivals, a place of warm embrace, sad goodbyes and people working to keep it clean and ordered. (Let this represent the earth and our every day lives.) In between you might find, what we like to call, a Global Challenge team. A group of young people taking over a deserted part of the airport - usually a corner, close to a bathroom and drinking fountain - to call home for a couple of days. (See this as taking that interesting year journey) Personally, I love it. Airports have so much...
Farther Along Blessed is the man who searches his heart And dares to step out of line He watches the crowds and considers their direction Only he thinks to himself - what a crime - How a man could have accepted lies so undetected Blunting his heart to evil - Linking hope that is deceiving to the truth he believes in His standards have fallen feeble. But give the man a Bells, yes honor him well - He who dares to question All status and quo, along with its' woes - The lies being covered in reflection. Awakened he stands...
Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19 When I started my training at Global Challenge I was filled with excitement to travel and change the world for Jesus. Little did I know that I completely missed the point. In the last few weeks of training I was very challenged about the way I spend time with Jesus and whether I am really listening to His voice. After pondering on this thought, I came to the conclusion that I was planning on going to the nations, without Jesus. Like Jesus called the deciples to be fishers...

“Jesus reveal Yourself to me? I’m asking You to please show me Who You are.” ALRIGHT MY SON, JUST BECAUSE YOU ASKED AND HAD FAITH IN ME I WILL. VISION, VISION, VISION. Yip, Jesus is really working with not just me but our entire team. He is also in this time and space of the world busy revealing Himself to people of all religions. The time here in Jordan is really an indescribable experience and God is really busy revealing Himself to me. He is giving me visions about the past and even the future. Not only that, I am...
The Journey Starts On the 6 th of March our journey to the hidden worlds of South America started. Our first destination for ministry was in Santiago (Chile). It was a very interesting and exiting situation, because the cheapest way to get to Chile was to fly to Brazil and then travel to Paraguay over land and then fly from Asuncion (Paraguay) to Santiago. Due to unexpected expenses end expensive travel costs in Brazil, the team budget was unable to support our travel costs from the Brazilian border to the airport in Paraguay. We only had one option left –...
Hi everyone! Well, I had the best end of 2007 and best beginning of 2008 ever! We arrived in Hawaii on the 23rd of Nov (we had the 23rd twice!). We camped at the YWCA, right next to the sea! The people did think we are crazy to camp, because it is their raining season! But it was beautifull! The mountains of Hawaii is something that I will never forget! We went to a Christmas eve service at a church nearby...beautiful! In Hawaii, they say ¨Mele Kieliekemaka, which means, Merry Christmas! We went to Kailua beach on Chistmas morning to...
Our time in Varanasi was amazing! We really experienced God's grace and faithfulness. We met a woman from South Africa and helped at her friend's ministry for the children from the railway station. We also had a boatride on the Gangajesh river, which was beautiful and upsetting at the same time - just to see how lost these people are, bathing themselves in extremely filthy water because they think it is holy! I couldn't help but feel powerless: it would be impossible for us to reach all of these people in the short time that we are there (there are...
Wide open spaces, a strange, familiar landscape, country music playing " loud-az" in their "utes" (utility vehicle). Strange accents with words that take a while to get up to tabs on. When someone would ask or tell you something enough times, you stop asking, "what" and just say, "yeap". This island of a continent is Australia and is largly underestimated! It is our saving grace for the year as we would need to work with sheep on farms to pay the for the rest of the year's travels. On our arrival in Sydney we where organized a place...
