Malaysia Faith Journey

Faith Journey Malaysia   The Luke 10 Faith journeys would begin in a country unique and alien to us, good thing it wasn't up to us to decide what to do. We all came from Singapore to Malaysia with uncertainty and excitement. This whole year we don't know what amazing stuff Gods has to surprise us with, now even more so. The team split into four groups. What occurred that we would for the first time be "split" and be completely dependent on God for everything!   We reunited in Kuala Lumpur ten days after starting our Luke 10 faith...

Wait!!!! Who am I??

This is a done deal!! Jesus is in me and I am in Him. This is who I am!! I am everything God said me to be. I don't need to search for it, I don't need to do something to get it. He already gave it all to me with the cross. All I need to do is release it! Release God in me trough His Holy Spirit.

Back in the past

From Israel coming, arriving in Russia is like traveling at least 30 years back into the past. In Israel where WIFI is everywhere available, even on public buses or on beaches, it was hard to find one place with WIFI in Russia. Comfortable 2 level trains in Israel vs  old overcrowded underground trains in Russia, where it's almost impossible to get a seat…. People in need are hungry for the Gospel! Although the most people can't speak any English, we could sense their hunger for more. And: “happy are those who are persecuted for they do what God requires; for...

The greatest privilege

It is such a privilege to travel around the world, encouraging the existing church and to share with people who have never before heard of our Saviour Jesus Christ. During our time in Kathmandu (Nepal), I realised that the world is really in need of God. There is so much idolatry happening everywhere. What made me happy was the thought of bringing the Good News to people who is actually hearing it for the first time in their lives! The sad reality is that they would like to follow our God but due to community oppression, they resist. If they...

Everything is Awesome!

First and foremost: I have no idea what I'm doing in regards to writing a blog, so please forgive my first attempt at digitally diarising my adventure with Global Challenge expeditions throughout this year.  Roughly a month ago I left the comfort, food and safety of home to join the ranks of Global Challenge, and in concordance with my 18 short years on planet earth, I can say that I have never made a better decision in my life! Sure the menu may lack some protein and variety, but what Global does offer is far more filling...It is food for...

Jesus getting work done on us

The visit was to us humans shrouded in a black cloud of uncertainty, no contact, no host. But part of the picture was a higher power Who knew exactly what was happening, no guessing, no maybe's, no darkness. His plan was ordered and He had unity in mind.   What an interesting time, everything for our travels to Vietnam falling into place the day before we left Phuket. Wow, what an awesome God!   With Vietnam having 8% Christians, we found a homestay with a Vietnamese family who are Christian! The son uses the homestay hostel as a ministry point....

Security?

Security?
Romans 5:3-4 but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. I love every process that I am in, because I trust in God! I want to share with you what God is teaching me at the moment. It's profound. I have been putting false security in many things in life. I placed it in friends, and when they weren't there I felt alone. I placed it in money, without it I felt stripped and unable. Without clothes I felt less worthy. Without a car I felt like a nuisance. Without the...

Suriname, expect the unexpected...

Suriname, expect the unexpected...
Crossing the Guyanese border with a ferry into the Dutch speaking country of Suriname... Not wanting to rest our eyes, when there is so much to see... Wooden houses build on stilts, coloured flags every where, all sorts of new fruits to try while seeing so many warm smiling faces...   After a whole day of traveling we arrived at Hebron mission school where we were warmly welcomed by some of the students who just finished their garden duties...    After settling in, Pastor Moestafa came to greet us with a big smile. As one of the teachers at the...

Jamaica

Jamaica   While in Jamaica, our team had two ministry points to reach. This became our second country to split in half. The green team stayed in Kingston with Pastor Neville as the yellow team made there way to St. Ann's Bay.   Yellow team:  The ministry point in St. Ann's Bay was with Pastor Jerry at Faith City Outreach Ministries. Located right on the coast of Jamaica, the yellow team really got the full perspective of the tropical, chilled lifestyle of the locals. While the focus of our ministry point was speaking at schools for children of all ages,...

Homelessness

Homelessness
What is home? Because for some reason or another I am not quite that sure. Is it the place I sleep at with my team,(which is usually a church, someones home or currently a Firefighter station?) Is it where my parents live in Johannesburg where I am showered with love? Is it Potchefstroom where I studied for the past four years? Is it Namibia where I was born? Is it Cape Town where I grew up? None of those feel like home... I don't fit into this world anymore. I don't know what to do with this realization. I can't...
