“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:12-13 Living without borders became a reality the day I entered the refugee camp at Tabanovce border post in the North of Macedonia. The Explore Africa Team was based for 3 weeks in the Capital of Macedonia called Skopje. Our South African hosts, Danie and Ester with their three children, made our stay in Macedonia an unforgettable one. While living next door to them in accommodation their neighbours, Godse and Betty provided,...

The world is telling you a lie. The world's image of perfection is NOT what we must strive for. We must strive for being in a relationship with God. Strive to get to know Him. For God is perfect and in His eyes we are perfect. No person could ever be perfect like Him. I have a ring that symbolizes the way God sees us: * There is a small flaw in the jewel (we all have flaws) * There is a small crack in the body of the ring (our physical body is not perfect and never looks the...
After a week of having an truly amazing time in Hong Kong, I can't wait to see what is next. my comfort zone has only become an oasis in my life. There is just too much adventure out in the world. To much God wants us to do. To little time to ponder on if we should or not. To many people we can meet. By love we have been given a choice. Will you allow this wonderful, wild love to come and overtake your life and show you the greatness of the Fathers plan in life. I've felt in...
If I could use three words to describe Cuba, it would be Chevrolets, ice cream and pizza. Chevrolets, because 90% of the cars in Cuba are old, vintage Chevy's driving up and down the colourful streets, giving it a 60's vibe with golden oldies playing on the radios of these vintage vehicles. Ice cream, because every 10 meters down the street there’s an ice cream parlour selling ice cream for 1 Peso, which is 50c in SA. Same sell scoops and others soft serve, nevertheless it’s cheap and a life saver on those hot, Cuban summer days. And pizza, because...
During our tremendously blessed time in Phuket, we got the opportunity to visit a Tsunami
Memorial. It was there that I for the very first time realised the magnitude of what happened. How many people were touched, how many lives were changed forever. How big is the Lord we serve that He has the power to allow a disaster like that to take place and yet have mercy on so many?
Our time in Varanasi was amazing! We really experienced God's grace and faithfulness. We met a woman from South Africa and helped at her friend's ministry for the children from the railway station. We also had a boatride on the Gangajesh river, which was beautiful and upsetting at the same time - just to see how lost these people are, bathing themselves in extremely filthy water because they think it is holy! I couldn't help but feel powerless: it would be impossible for us to reach all of these people in the short time that we are there (there are...
I really enjoyed Kenya, it was so amazing to see what God did in just one week, brining our team closer together, the open, friendly people who would just trust us with their things, The awesone way God revealed Himself in the time spent in the prayer room we helpped to launch and also having so much favor with food and traveling... I deffinitly went through some inner struggles but that is part of growing and God teaching me to live a holy and pure life as it is written in 1 Thessalonians 4:7 "For God did not call us to...
Closer than ever: reflections after a week of survivor in Colombia After a week in the wilderness During which our day plan consisted of looking for isolation to build a shelter (suspending our Hammocks from trees that have grown tall enough) Or the majority of our day light hours were spend searching for " agua caliente" ( hot water) to make a third or forth cup of Colombian coffee,Strangers who helped us became friends,I became a Spanish speaking African Mango's were part of our staple dietBeaches are roads,Rivers are to be crossed ( while holding our backpack with our few worldly...
Although the month has not yet passed, I would still like to share about the things that have happened so far. We spent most of the month in Brazil and more specifically, Rio de Janeiro. Rio de Janeiro. • We split in 3 groups and did a ´Luke 10´ journey. Read more Below • Stayed and ministered to a student socialist movement of the Federal University of Brazil. Before I start, let us look at the scripture. (Luke 10: 1-11) 1After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where...
