Hey Guys I figured one should do a bit of "self training" before you do something like Global challange-So I learn't to fish. It took great courage and dicipline to brave the EARLY morning and the stormy seas,(we got soaked) but it was worth it. Although, as the hours passed I discovered that I have a tallent for loosing hooks and sinkers. As for actually catching a fish...well, not even the professionals caught a fish that morning. So, I learn't a valuable lesson: If there's fishing to be done this year, get one of the other team members to do...

God has such an awesome way of rewarding you...for just nothing...just because He can and want to! I had the privilege to play bass, again, for the first time since January, on stage with awesome sound, lights and the wildest 5 string Guitar!!! But it is not about the bass, it is about God that blesses you! We have a drama, and that is available to you on the site! Check it out! There we showed the people in 5minutes what God wanted from the beginning of time, till Jesus came for us again! It is the same drama as Lifehouse...
[video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAWaITLnc7Y 300x300] During Survivor Global Challenge, Lufyoj (our team) had been informed to leave our food under the tree before the next reward challenge. After a delightful chicken potjie for dinner, a debate ensued on whether our remaining chicken should also be eaten while it was still under our possession. Darko and his supporters maintained that they were still hungry(they could almost taste the grilled chicken) and that we would potentially lose the chicken (Rex), while Estelle and her supporters thought it unnecessary after such a lovely meal. Maybe it was a mistake to name the chicken. The debate continued...
Today I'm reminded of the wonderful lyrics by Jeremy Riddle: What a priceless gift, undeserved life Have I been given through Christ crucified You've called me out of death You've called me into life And I was under Your wrath Now, through the cross, Im reconciled At the cross, You beckon me You draw me gently to my knees And I am lost for words, so lost in love Im sweetly broken, wholly surrendered Throughout this week we've had the privilege of being taught by Norman Wakefield. He broke scripture down in a new way, with emphasis on being anchored...
While we have been travelling, I have noticed one thing about road rage. There is so little road rage in the last 3 countries that it is scary to think about the situation in SA. Let us compare shall we? China: There the driver with the biggest horn wins. They drive very reckless, but there are so little accidents that you can't believe that they keep on driving that way. There is also only one clinic available in the small towns, so they can't afford it to make accidents. Thus, they all stay calm during the times in which they...
a wise man once said... a good potter needs both his hands to make perfect pots the potter start by putting the clay on the spinning wheel, with the one hand he starts to put 1 finger in the clay, then 2 fingers ,.. 3 fingers ,. 4 fingers,.. now the hand is in and he starts to shape the pot, while the other hand is on the outside of the clay and shaping and smoothing the outside. once the pot is formed the potter starts tapping the clay from the outside, not beating down on it, just little taps. The hand...

God is so real. He is so present. He goes before me in every situation. He holds my heart in the palm of His mighty hand. What else can I do but worship the King of kings? ÂÂ Through Colombia, Peru and Chile I just realized again how much God loves me and how much He longs to be with me. I missed home more than ever in Colombia and Peru but after lots of prayer, God changed my heart. And I know now that God has something amazing instore for me in this last few days! ÂÂ I really...
I took a short flight to Cape Town from Jo-burg. The engines hummed as the airplane taxied to the run way, while I page through the in-flight magazine. An article on circus clowns keeps my mind idle long enough to pass the seemingly endless wait for take-off. Doesn’t it always feel like planes take too long to take off, or doesn’t it always feel like queues are moving to slow? Why can’t I be alone by myself, why do we fill the quietness with noise, ANY kind of noise! We just can’t stand to be...
Laos: Let it rain! “Yeah guys, we have no budget for Laos.” Maybe that statement needs some clarification. To clear it up a bit, I will start one country earlier. I am not referring to Nepal in this case, but rather to Thailand, where we spent two nights in Bangkok. Unfortunately one day is way too little to truly be able to say one has seen Thailand, or even Bangkok, but we filled our time as best we could. After a morning of debriefing Nepal, we hit the streets, looking for a certain famous tourist area in Bangkok. It turned...
