This was an amazing opportunity we had to share the Gospel at a Buddist festival in Thailand. God opened the doors for us and He touched so many lives. We praise Him for this. What an awesome God we serve.

My vision for 80 Days 2009 TO KNOW HIM AS FRIEND, TRUST HIM AS SAVIOR AND OBEY HIM AS LORD!! TO LOVE GOD DANGEROUSLY, OBSESSIVELY AND UNDENIABLE!! My vision for this expedition is to experience God’s love and to grow in Him. I want to touch people by being involved in their communities. ‘And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust Him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvellous love. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how...
Normal 0 We took a shuttle bus to the next town, Escuintla. At the drop off point we sat in the sun and waited…waiting is very hard work if you are not sure what you are waiting for! Marisa and Herman went to call the man from the bakery, but there was no answer. We tried to catch a lift, but to no avail. Marisa and Herman went in search of the man’s house and the rest of us stayed with the baggage. Eventually a man came and sat down next to us and we started chatting about...

A Journey to the true outback About 2 months ago we as wYw were on our way to the beautiful country Australia. With so much excitement in my heart I expected big things to happen. Knowing that Australia has more or less the same culture as South Africa was huge benefit for me and for wYw as a team. Coming from a sporting family back in SA and entering a country with a very wide range of different sports created so much excitement in my heart, I was ready to learn new sports and to share and...
“This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 This was said to Joshua just before he crossed the Jordan River to enter the Promised Land, and it was as applicable for us as it was for him. With a truly intense border security (not joking) I found myself praying similar prayers to the first two Israelites who entered the country: Lord, please make me invisible and give me favour with the people. And He, being the same yesterday, today and...
I remembered so good the day I watched the movie, and thinking: How can a king make so much effort to build relationship with a servant? And then I came to Malaysia – and this is what I found… Serving in a school the Lord had a very specific plan for me. We served from the morning to night, being part in different things and serving in ways that was far above what I thought I could do!!! The Lord taught me out of Rom 8:1 – 17 and I want to share that with you… *...
Being the leader of a group of missionaries would never be an easy task, and the group of young men that God picked out for me to lead was no exception. There were and are many hurdles that I have to overcome. Take for instance that my team consists of six exuberant and lively 18 and 19 year olds. I really do enjoy time with them. The age gap makes it hard sometimes to relate, but luckily we have our Lord in common. He grants wisdom to those who obey. Then there is the fact that the last time I...
