Reality in Jamaica

Reality in Jamaica
When reality hits me in Jamaica. When I was still in school, teachers loved reminding me how good or easy I still have it. How the tough part in life comes when you no longer experience the comfort of routine, family, friends and dependency on others. They used to tell me that reality is a cruel thing, striking you when you're down and waiting patiently for you to muster the strength to force yourself back up, only to hit you again with an evil smirk on its face. They would say "One day you will think back and you will...

Farewell Lime team of 2008

Farewell Lime team of 2008
What an amazing year this has been for our Lime team. The Lord has been doing wonderful things in and through our lives. We started off in January at Alabanza ........    and ended the year with a bang in Jeffreysbay.....      Thank you God for an amazing year like this.A year that changed our lives forever, a year where we saw the nations through His eyes, a year where we re-established ourselves in Christ and being transformed in His image. It was a privilege to journey with Him and spend time together on a daily basis. As a team we served together, prayed together,...

FOUNTAIN OF THE DESERT

FOUNTAIN OF THE DESERT
As the my people would know... I am an absolute dreamer, 'dagdromertjie verby' and up to the last few weeks I always kept all my dreams up in my head as pretty pictures but with no use.  I believe that God truly gave me a gift of dreaming... seeing pictures to communicate with me. So as I am really trusting God this year to help me develope this gift I would love to share with you a little provision from God :  Just before we entered Dahab (small touristy town in middle of desert next to red sea) I...

And after the rain, comes the wind

REBUILDING RED HILLRed Hill, Cape Peninsula

12 February 2008 - There was only one thing that kept the people back from building today: wind.
And the wind was extremely unhelpful.
Each volunteer was covered in a thin layer of black dust by the end of the day, and most were trying to get sand out of their, ears, eyes and mouths. Still the volunteers and the locals kept pushing on, knowing that time and the elements was against them. The sooner a shack is put up, the sooner people can get out of the wind into their own places.

God's unfailing love for His children in Tibet.

I want to start this by thanking everyone who supported us, financially and spiritually. This would not have been possible without all your support!! We definitely felt all the prayers and that was what made me still stand in very hard times.    Summarizing this Tibet experience in one sentence: God's love for His children and moving mountains to prove it.    This journey actually started in July when one of the team members had a dream. She shared this dream with me and told me we will go to China. I didn't believe her and said it will be impossible, just because...
