Who said that God cannot move mightily in today’s High Schools???

Last week we had our small groups in Global Leadership Academy, like we had every Tuesday and Thursday the last month or so...but this was no ordinary Tuesday... The six girls in my group and I chatted about the Holy Spirit and about how there’s so much more available than what we are usually satisfied with...that if letting Jesus into your life, just to get to heaven, is like receiving a book, then being led by His Spirit is like opening that book just to find there’s a receipt for a brand-new Ferrari in it!!! I shared that only when...

Lyrics from my heart

God is so real. He is so present. He goes before me in every situation. He holds my heart in the palm of His mighty hand. What else can I do but worship the King of kings?   Through Colombia, Peru and Chile I just realized again how much God loves me and how much He longs to be with me. I missed home more than ever in Colombia and Peru but after lots of prayer, God changed my heart. And I know now that God has something amazing instore for me in this last few days!   I really...

The potters hands

a wise man once said... a good potter needs both his hands to make perfect pots the potter start by putting the clay on the spinning wheel, with the one hand he starts to put 1 finger in the clay, then 2 fingers ,.. 3 fingers ,. 4 fingers,.. now the hand is in and he starts to shape the pot, while the other hand is on the outside of the clay and shaping and smoothing the outside. once the pot is formed the potter starts tapping the clay from the outside, not beating down on it, just little taps. The hand...

Riding the wave

I have a vision... A vision of hope, a vision of glory, a vision of awesome power beyond measure! I believe that a huge wave is coming, not necessarily a physical wave but a spiritual wave! A wave that consumes everything, that brings hearts to life, that renews and restores and heals! I believe that this wave is on its way and that we will experience Gods furious love and indescribable power! God is giving each of us an open invitation to ride this wave. It's up to you... If you don't you certainly will miss out... It's up to you! Will you join us...

Wow, What a surprise! - Morocco

I am still on this journey where Father challenges me to focus what He is doing in each country. So we meet up with other workers in the field, to learn from them, encourage them and help them in which ever way they see fit. So I can just stand amazed and repent, thinking that I was going to change Morocco in the 3 weeks we spent there. The Moroccans trace back their cultural heritage to Noah's son Shem (at least that is what I was told). The Berber people in Morocco was some of the early church farthers. (So these...

God planned a music concert!

Two and a half hours of free time in Santa Marta, Colombia. The desire of guitar and coffee at the seaside burns in my heart. Because I don't have a lot of money left, thus I boil water, take my flask and loyal old plastic cup with a bag of South African hot chocolate. With Eileen's guitar in hand I head towards the beach. I look for one of the very few spots of shade that is not occupied. I take my seat on a little wall next to the ocean. I was busy writing a new song, and that...

ALIVE

"Alive, alive, alive forever more My Jesus is alive Alive forever more"     This is what is still echoeing in my ears after my time in India. What an awesome privilege to be part of this time and to see the change God is busy with in India - and especially in the kids of India.   In India there is about 86 million orphans and street kids at the moment. This is the harsh reality of the era we are living in. The Lord remains faithful though and He will equip people to work with these kids and...

Road rage: What is the big issue?

Road rage: What is the big issue?
While we have been travelling, I have noticed one thing about road rage. There is so little road rage in the last 3 countries that it is scary to think about the situation in SA. Let us compare shall we? China: There the driver with the biggest horn wins. They drive very reckless, but there are so little accidents that you can't believe that they keep on driving that way. There is also only one clinic available in the small towns, so they can't afford it to make accidents. Thus, they all stay calm during the times in which they...
