Day 2 - Orange Team

Day 2!!! WOW, again God is Good, amazing, exciting!!!!!!!

We arrived in Kasane at about 8am Wednesday morning! We hiked for 1km before we met John who gave us a lift on the back of a sand lorry.
We were heading towards the Zimbabwe-border. We went through with no problems. We then walked right into our first pothole!!!hehhehe.
We started to negotiated with the drivers to go to Victoria falls. They wanted $100!!! that was so funny, only because we were very tired!
Tired in a way because we slept on a bus, but had walked for almost 3km with our backpacks on.

The Ancient City

The Ancient City
Jordan - Petra   I traveled along the Red Sea and adventured through the borders and I reached Jordan.  Backdrops of mighty mountains flowing down into white and brown valleys of desert. My destination was the remote dead city called Petra, the most important attraction of Jordan. Petra is a secluded site of steep rocky slopes, towering, craggy mountains a mountaineers dream.  Petra is a ancient city carved into solid rock. The main entrance called the Siq is hemmed in by cliffs soaring up into the blue sky. A long, deep and narrow gorge of stunning natural beauty.  Passing through...

Tanzis and Zanzis

Tanzania needed to deliver something special to come close to the engraving Rwanda left on our hearts. Not that it was ever a competition, but the impact does linger. Some slow start it was to get anything going in Mwanza, located on Lake Victoria. We actually took off well, engaging with the coastal villages and it's many children. From games thought out never to be used, to playing the games unplanned when the situation demanded. This sums up a great deal of our time in Mwanza. Besides the games and children, we lingered, waiting for the next opportunity, occasion or...

A glimpse into your eyes

Today I am halfway through the journey of a lifetime, an adventure with You, Lord, Creator, Lover, Father, Friend.   I remember how You captivated my heart by calling me to an adventure. You invited me "come with Me" and promised that it will be wild, great and full of You. Thinking back on the past four months it was already all of that and more...   Reality struck me for a moment, as I perceived the beauty around me, the palm trees, the Caribbean ocean, the small islands so close that I can see the white beaches and hear...

Another Blessed Day at Work Your Way

It has truly been another blessed day at Work Your Way. We got up early as usual to have some quite time spent with God. Welman and Philip(who is convinced his stomach is starting to grow at a way to rapid pace) also decided it is about time to go for a jog with Tobi around a beautiful lake. De Necker, Freddy and Henro sat at the lake and read the Holy Bible, while Angelo and Bernard were kind enough to stay at home and wash the dishes aswell. For breakfast we had probably the most famous Global Challenge meal,...

We are going to China?!

We are going to China?!
China We assume that everything in China is more or less what we imagine it to be, but I guarantee that China is different from the way most people are picturing it. The moment when I think of China I start to think of all the negative things the world has spoken over this incredibly big nation. When you hear China and 1.2 billion people in one sentence, I immediately put on my straight face in disbelief. Our team had the privilege to spend 2 weeks together in Xiahe. We had to take 2 connecting flights of 2 hours each,...
