The Journey through my eyes

.The Journry through my eyes

Songs of solomon 3.5

“do not stir up nor awaken love until it pleases”

I have seen the spark

I threw gas on it

It burnet for weeks

That was not the plan

I give my life and trust You with all I have

I fought to keep it burning

I turned my back on the Master without knowing

I was blinded but now see

It is written “”Do not stir up nor awaken Love until it pleases ”

I was selfish and not open so I give you to my Lord

Until it pleases Him

He will give me

Matt 6.33

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added on to you”

Johovah Qanna “The Lord is Jealous”

Easter in Transit

An unforeseen pilgrimage gave me new insight in the happenings celebrated during Easter. At sunset before Good Friday we arrived at Dar Es Salaam. Unsure of whether to spend the night at a friend of a friend or to travel, we huddle and pray. We decide to cancel the arrangement and find the overnight ferry to Zanzibar.    As Jesus was captured just after sunset, Peter and the disciples were uncertain whether to follow and risk persecution or stay at a safe distance. Peter follow the captured Jesus, and standing in the spotlight of the guard’s fire, betrays his beloved...

Luke 10

Luke 10: I'm sure everyone has their own idea of what it must have been like in Jesus' day, being one of his followers or even in the any years to come where people like Paul went out to plant and encourage churches. Well, during our Luke 10 journey in Paraguay it felt to me as if we went back in time. After God blessed us with money through two different people, we were well on our way to a little town we knew nothing about, except that God placed it on our hearts. A town called Benjamin Aceval, mas...

What? Where? Kosovo

What? Where? Kosovo
What is Kosovo So before I start this update, please let me first share a bit about Kosovo. Kosovo is almost their own independent country, they used to be part of Serbia and in 2008 they declared independence, but since Russia that has a veto vote in the UN does not recognise them as an independent country they are still not fully independent, but under European Union curatorships. On top of that Turkey also claim that Kosovo is part of Turkey because of the battle of Kosovo in 1389 where the emperor of the Ottoman empire was assassinated and his...

Faking it for Jesus

Faking it for Jesus
What? How does that work? It does, if you're a sinner. I am a very honest person and I want you to fully understand my journey, so yeah, sometimes you're going to think I am an absolute fool. Great! Please think that, because my friend, that's exactly how gross and sinful and foolish I am, without God. Great thing that God doesn't leave us in our sins. Thank God He doesn't. Now of course, you want the juice (news) of what I have done. I thought that I had the right to want. I started to want the things other...

After Zambia the yellow team was sad to have to say goodbye to Lena but our tears soon turned to smiles when we got to meet our last team member, Margot! As some of you might know Margot missed out on the 6week Zambia training and only joined us now. With a new country came a new team member!

Red Hill DNA

During the last three months Red Hill has become inextricably part of our DNA. It is as if the air we breathe and the words we speak all carry some hidden meaning about this place, this township.

That White Suit

Davis, aka The Ambassador greeted us with his white smile and a dashing white suit on Sunday morning. He was ready for church. Marié and I ran some last errands, I all the while thinking how the heck is this guy going to keep his white suite white. Why would he even bother with one? It won't stay white, I could guarantee him that. Everything is dusty in Busia, Uganda. Even the tar road has a thick layer of dust making it unrecognizable – and we were far away from the tar road anyway. We were to go on The...
