Hi all my buddies!!

After spending more or less 3 weeks in both Turkey and Israel, it almost seemed a bit of a steal to only spend 10 days in Russia, but what a full 10 days it was.   After spending the whole day practicing our drama in the Ben Gurion airport in Israel and waking up at 3:30am to check in at the airline counter, it's needless to say we were far from fully functioning by the time we landed in Moscow that afternoon. The worst part about traveling is knowing you will never be the same after leaving the place you were in. In some cases, you leave a piece of your heart behind, along with the people you've met. This was one of those cases. Mexico, you have completely changed my perspective of what it means to fall in love with a place. When I think back on our time in Mexico, I don't see places, I don't see the beach or the shops or the thousands of tacos that we ate. I see the faces of people that I met and...

Israel - the promised land. The country full of history, hiking and hummus. The country of quality time with Jesus. Whereas Jordan and most other countries are mostly about the ministry although you learn a lot from it too, God gave Israel as a country just for me and Him together.   Contrasting to Jordan, the spiritual atmosphere in Israel was so light! It felt like we could breath again and walk around as girls without feeling threatened. We have been traveling for the past two days and have now finally arrived at our final destination for the rest of our time in China.

We were informed on Monday morning that we should be ready to leave our hotel at any time to start our journey to our new town, where the Orange team would spend there days in China.

The Van Gas family living in our valley had six beautiful daughters,  when they probably called a halt to the dream of a son. Van then focused on his film career as producer of his first and only movie. A South African cowboy production. Oom van Niekerk of the farm shop was the villain and he and Tannie Dot, our Sunday school teacher, got shot in the story. Our dad took us to watch the shooting on the set one afternoon, and I remember  Oom van Niekerk and Tannie Dot lying on the floor covered in tomato juice from the shop.

Our plan (man's plan) was to go to Bolivia to serve at a church there. We were prepared and ready for ministry, just like the rest of the year...but we encountered visa problems at the border. After searching God's guidance in prayer, He directed our paths towards Chile...unknown territory for the team in more than one way. In times like these you realize God send you on this journey as a leader for times like these...recklessly trusting Him to come through for you and your team when you have nothing secure to hold on to accept His promises of never...

A beginning and an end. The obvious is that this was our first country and that this was the beginning of our journey. From the onset of our journey God has come and shown me the joy in serving other's, specifically those that serve Him where others dare not stay. The end is less obvious and, more... An end to self deception, an end to self pity and most importantly an end to past fixation. I  had been clutching like a corner stone. Wearing a grudge like a crown, unable to forgive. But not anymore! I can gladly say that...
