Quitting now...

IMG-20180703-WA0074
Quitting now would take me right back to where I started, and when I started I was desperate to be where I am now... All my life I believed the lie that I don't know what feelings are and that indifference is my only reality. Never did I feel comfortable enough with people to truly trust. Looking back now I realize that I did not just shatter my own heart but I deeply hurt those who truly cared. Most of all I closed the door, window and all entry ways for Jesus. I only allowed Him in when things were...

Cuba, back in the sixties !

Cuba has his own particular beauty: We discovered it the minute when we went out of the airport... The country being still ruled by a communist government, importation into Cuba is very expensive and difficult. Therefore, Cuban cars for example are still the same cars that the american citizen left in Cuba after Fidel Castro's revolution ! Cuban people are just being fixing again and again the broken parts. Not only the cars, but also the building are very old, and the locals way of living is also very different. It gives a filling to be back in the sixties,...

Our journey of faith through Argentina

Our week journey based on Luke 10: I promised to give you some feed back concerning the Luke 10 journey, so here's our story ! Or should I say, God's accomplishment in our humble willing life ! We left the first day the terminal of Salta where we slept the previous night... The morning, we prayed a last time as a team and then we divided ourself in smaller group... Cuba! What is God's Church doing in this Distant Island?

The first country that we visited on our Journey around the world to all the Distant Islands is Cuba.  The reason why we are only putting up our first blogs now is because Cuba has no Internet. Cuba is a communist country, which means that their government controls everything and the people does not really have a free will or any opinion. Cuba is a very interesting and unique country. Even though it is in the Caribbean, it is not like any of the other Islands. It almost feels like we did not only travel half way around the world, but that we also travelled back in time. All the buildings and cars here, are very old. The country doesn't use or have a lot of new technology, or actually they don't have a lot of new anything.

The Journey

The journey of my life. Global Challenge is a journey, but the journey doesn't begin or end there. I have only been on this journey for a month now and I've already had some really exciting, but also some very intence experiences. In this time I have been stretched and challenged, but I am excited to discover and learn more. Last week we had buildig week where we had to serve the children of the school by varnishing and painting the walls of the school. I have never worked like that in my life. It was actually a very difficult...

I GOT BAPTIZED!

I really didn’t think I was going to get baptized this year. I was baptized as a baby and thought of it as if it was something I could just tick off in spiritual journey. Throughout this year, up until now, God showed me what the baptism is really about. I have heard teachings and I have read the Bible but never took t to heart. God opened my ears and planted it into my heart that I should get baptized. So that was what happened.

Vietnam

Vietnam
It was so cool to fly into Vietnam observing its amazing night lights! We stayed in Saigon City where there are 7 million people and where 3.4 million scooters flood the streets. Crossing the streets there is such a cool experience! Cross with confidence or wait instead. In Vietnam our ministry differed a lot from other countries. We worked in 2 coffee shops, performed an acoustic show 2 times in one of the coffee shops and taught English at English classes straight from a passage in the Bible! A great way of spreading the Gospel since there is persecution. During...

Exodus 33:3

I could not shake the feeling of how awesome Israel was, the whole place is almost build out of limestone that is "alive" and truly I say on to you it makes the place look alive! We worked a bit in a garden where God showed me to bring salvation to men is like plucking out roots of weets and cleaning leaves. After every leave wave which is sin you descover môre roots of weets that is the very start of sin and then you pluck them out with the roots. I thoroughly cleaned a area of 10×4m and it...

Opening my heart for a change.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God‘s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.  - Romans 12:2   I am on a wild journey with God. I am busy healing, changing and discovering myself more than ever before. God has grabbed me from my old and broken life and called me to a new life with Him.  He is the God of second chances. He forgives and forgets. Jesus knows all my faults...
