Luke10ing in Ecuador

Luke10ing in Ecuador
So for our time in Ecuador we did our Luke 10 journey and so much happened that I am afraid to start writing about it. For now I will just say this: The journey is a faith journey based on Luke 10 that states Luk 10:3 Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. 4 Carry no moneybag, no knapsack, no sandals, and greet no one on the road. 5 Whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace be to this house!' 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace...

There's more to Cuba than its affordable calories

There's more to Cuba than its affordable calories
If I could use three words to describe Cuba, it would be Chevrolets, ice cream and pizza. Chevrolets, because 90% of the cars in Cuba are old, vintage Chevy's driving up and down the colourful streets, giving it a 60's vibe with golden oldies playing on the radios of these vintage vehicles. Ice cream, because every 10 meters down the street there’s an ice cream parlour selling ice cream for 1 Peso, which is 50c in SA. Same sell scoops and others soft serve, nevertheless it’s cheap and a life saver on those hot, Cuban summer days. And pizza, because...

Beautiful days in Panama

Beautiful days in Panama
Staying only a few meters away from the Panama Canal, unlimited mangoes, breath taking nature and all sorts of parrots flying over my head. How can one get more beautiful days like that? How can one get a more beautiful and creative God than that? The time in Panama was full of adventures, laughter, traveling, learning and spending amazing time with my mom (who came with the parents visits).    Here's just a glimpse of our adventures:

the unknown road

the-unknown-road
Sitting on a night at the final end of a training period for new students of Global Challenge Expeditions, I find myself excited for them and their year. The adventures to be had, the people to be met, the views to be seen and the roads to be walked/jumped/ran on or where they would just stand - to take it all in.   Little more than 4 years ago, I was the new pilgrim embarking on the fresh path of the unknown, with the only constant assurance being that that which lies ahead was already planned by a Higher hand....

Dear Jesus, I adore You, I stay in awe and wonder of whome You are, what You have done for me, How much You loved me even before I was born, the way You always stand with open arms to hold me tight. You are there when I am in a bad situation, You are there in the joy and good times, You gide my steps for me, You keep me warm when life is cold, You are the  light in my darknes. Incredible India Experience!

Incredible India Experience!
After some further tutorials in India (course named Veritas 2), which was super amazing and eye opening, we went to an orphanage. It was such a privilege but still challenging. All that the kids have is God. They don't have their own toys or own rooms or even their own beds. Seeing how their take on life is really inspiring! Every chlid to whom I have spoken to wants to become someone who helps other people to learn to know God, if it is a missionary or a nurse just to show someone in need a helping hand and love....

Jamaica

Jamaica   While in Jamaica, our team had two ministry points to reach. This became our second country to split in half. The green team stayed in Kingston with Pastor Neville as the yellow team made there way to St. Ann's Bay.   Yellow team:  The ministry point in St. Ann's Bay was with Pastor Jerry at Faith City Outreach Ministries. Located right on the coast of Jamaica, the yellow team really got the full perspective of the tropical, chilled lifestyle of the locals. While the focus of our ministry point was speaking at schools for children of all ages,...

Fiji Island

Fiji A lot happens in a months time. We are already on our way again after spending a bit over twenty days in Fiji. The first sence of the country could already be felt on arrival, this is one of the friendliest people groups I have met. This country is generally filled with friendliness. It is a bit of a laid back culture even modern music has been mixed to fit the island vibe as you drive on local busses.    We started off at a YWAM(youth with a mission) base near Labasa on the northern island. Here we were...

Belize...

So the first few days in Belize was spent, working with the youth and kids of the small church we were involved with, in Bullet Tree. We taught them a dance, a song and a memory verse, which they got the chance to perform in the weekend's Harvest Festival's services. But working with those kids meant more to me than just getting them to remember words of a song or moves to a dance. I know i have blogged about this, but the innocence and the unconditional nature of their love and joy, just overwhelmed me.

Turkey!

Our amazing time in turkey has come to an end! But in the cold streets we all left a piece of our hearts. The Lord still run through that country, and no men will ever arise what love has once done. Revival is close again, revival has a name.
