Glimpse of Guyana

Glimpse of Guyana
Guyana- a country I had never heard about before visiting. Crossing the border I immediately felt more at home. They drive on the right side of the road. .. the left hand side of course....the main language is English and just like in Africa we were squashed into two taxis and sent on our way down a seemingly never ending dusty road . The only Road into Guyana from Brazil, through a tropical rain forrest which is a national reserve. Eleven and a half hours later feeling like I had been attacked by a gang because of all the bumps...

Hope's Garden

Hope's Garden Jeremy woke up with dust all around him, and the neighbours cat licking his toe, where he had cut it the previous night, when he stepped into a broken glass on the way to his house. Jeremy looked for something to eat, but only found green bananas. That was it, today he was going away, that is what his mother and his big sister had done. But that has been a couple of years ago, before he could tie his own shoe laces. He could see his Granny was half asleep as he walked out of the door,...

whats up @ Dahab (Egypt)...

whats up @ Dahab (Egypt)...
There's so much "LIFE" going on around us here at Dahab, and we are experiencing such a relaxed atmosphere amongst all the people, with lights, chats and businesses running till 12 at night We met up with bedouin girls selling their bracelets to us, and asking us about global challengers, that built a relationship with them last year this time. This lead us, spending a lot of time with them. We went with them into the mountains, played games on the beach and had LOTS of tea together. We went to have dinner with them at their house, and met...

Indonesia

Indonesia
Indonesia was definitely a highlight for some of us. We met some seriously rad people.  Our schedule was jam packed. Spent the mornings at a christian elementary school teaching English and morning devotions with the classes. And had time with the awesome teachers. Some days we went to public schools and hung out with the Muslim kids too. Basically every evening was spent with the Destiny Generation church people. Like student aged. We had great times of fellowship and worshipping together, praying with everyone. We got to know them like friends, they're so cool.  Cell groups, prayer walks, teaching times. And...

A little late but here's my experience on Brazil.

Brazil was one of my favourite countries so far. First arriving in São Paulo my first feeling was I could definitely move here and as we went on with our journey that feeling just increased. Once arriving in Brazil our team split into 2 groups I was privileged enough to be in the group that stayed in the city and did had a ministry point in a local church. Our small group split into groups of 2 or 1 and was spread around the city being housed in people's houses form the church. The other members of the team...

Can I call you Raavi?

Israel We decided to spend a few days in Israel to rest and fill our tanks. We spent 5 days in Jerusalem, Israel. There's a SA missionary who opened her house to us. Her house is a permanent house of prayer and people come and go to pray for the peace of Jerusalem there. She took us to many places in Jerusalem to see where Jesus walked, was crucified, his tomb, where the outpouring of the holy spirit happened in the upper room, mount zion, the mount of olives etc. This was phenomenal, as you can imagine. We also learned...

I Pray That God Ruins Your Life This Year

"Something will grow from what you are going through. That thing will be you." - Unknown Someone very dear to my heart prayed in training that God would ruin my life on this journey. Only now that God took the challenge do I understand what she meant by that. Our month in Israel has been some of the hardest yet most beautiful days of my life. God broke down walls in my heart that without me even realizing, were keeping Him out more than they were anyone else. He filled these gaps with love and innocence, moulding me and shaping...

This is not the end

This is not the end
As this AMAZING journey is almost coming to a end, I realise that this is only ONE of my journeys. There is always another journey to start and look forward to! And we can be sure that God has a great plan with our future! And Jesus is always walking it with us!but for now... Philippians 3:14 -"I press on to reach the end of the race and recieve the  heavenly prize for which God, through Jesus, is calling us". This year so far has been the best journey I've been on. God is ABLE, but He use people to...

THE CALLING

Soo yeah here I am with number 10 and it’s been quite a while since my last blog, but that is fine because God had to work first in me about a few things before the next blog can be put up and I must say it was quite a ride up to this point. So with this new blog I pray that Papa will come and show His power, grace, LOVE and faithfulness to you whiles’t reading this blog. So keep calm and read on ( I know, not the best one liners, but it’s fine ). So we...
