In Deep.

I am no spoiled brat and I'm use to things not being 5 star, but I could not help realising in what condition the country was. It was bad and seemed poor, but I was exited because this was Nepal ! We rested for a few days at a hostel where our leaders ,Louw and Mynette, spoke to some pastors because we had no set ministry point. Then things got spicy! One morning at the church we stayed at, we were unexpectedly asked to preach so I volunteered because who would want to preach unexpected? Anyway my translater struggled now...

Boys time

Hello my beloved bretheren, I would like to say "Here is David," but I can't because its my first blog, and the first blog of my life. We will see what will happen... I would like to jump right into a special phase in the first month of our training in Jeffreys Bay. The Get-to-know-each-other-time was already over and suddenly we jumped into some kind of Get-too-know-each-other-even-better-time. I'm not allowed to talk about "Survivor“,  but what I can say: “Suffering connects” ;D After that we had the privilege of regenerating for two days in a remote school hostel in the...

Hosea 2: 19-20*And I will betroth you to Me forever, yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness and justice, in steadfast love, and in mercy. I will betroth you to me in stability and in faithfulness, and you shall know – recognize, be acquainted with, appreciate, give heed to, and cherish the Lord.

off off and away

Thought it's about time I let you all know what the team's been up to but most importantly what God's been up to. For the past few weeks I've had a taste of Africa, the real deal. I'm talking about longdrops of various shapes and sizes; having had the priviledge to interact with the Masaai peolpe, eating chapaties and schumawiki- local Kenyan dish, traveling via mtats and learning few swahili words.   Honestly, it's been a tough and testing few weeks in the heart of Africa. The Lord has really been teaching me what it means to be humble and have...

A journey full of God's miracles

Ten days Luke 10 journey - What else as miracles can you expect?   In our first Luke 10 journey in training I was sceptical how God will show up and what he has planned for us. Everything was new for me and I didn't know so much fun will expect me. After this privilege to experience this and hear all the stories from the other groups I was so excited for this faith trip and knew that He will provide and be with us all the time. Praying, listening to God's voice and stepping into his plan were a...

I GOT BAPTIZED!

I really didn’t think I was going to get baptized this year. I was baptized as a baby and thought of it as if it was something I could just tick off in spiritual journey. Throughout this year, up until now, God showed me what the baptism is really about. I have heard teachings and I have read the Bible but never took t to heart. God opened my ears and planted it into my heart that I should get baptized. So that was what happened.

Sockey Tan or Dirt?

As a kid, the realization that the Supermarket name 'Pick-n-Pay' (used it so often) actually means 'you pick something and then you pay' was major! I was so proud to figure that out. Now it's a similar situation. That I experience the Challenge in the name Global CHALLENGE.   Turkey, lovely Turkey. I dont know if they were overly cautious seeing 10 tents (mostly orange) perfectly pitched in a public park, but the Park security the Police and the Metro Guards didn't need to team up. Why did I choose to sleep on the side?  so that they can shake...

Russia part 2

Ok so in the last couple of weeks in Russia half of the team, aftrer a short break, started their second camp while the rest of us (the same group Danica blogged about) with an Austrailian missionary there headed off to a small village three hours outside of Krasnoyarsk. While we were there we stayed at a church there and worked with the pastor. We did minor renovations to the church (from wallpapering to putting up ceiling tiles), odd jobs around town, teachings and testimonies at night, and a couple of crusades. But our main desire was to speak...
