Dear friends, I am currently at the red sea with the Global Challenge expedition team for 2009. There are 3 one year teams for 2009, North Bound, South Bound and Explore Africa. The year started with training on the 12 of January in Jeffreys Bay in the Eastern Cape, the 3 weeks where filled up with teachings, practical preparation and serving at a local school in Ithemba. At Ithemba school we painted a huge part of the outside wall's and roofs. Repaired rotten wood panels on the class rooms, painted class rooms on the inside and cleaned out toilets and with the help...

I know you haven't heard from me in quite some time, blogging wrongfully comes second for me when time on the internet is limited. But I believe you will soon feel updated on the life and happenings of lindie pienaar. The morning just before we left on the journey, all five of us - for the first time - felt sure that the Lord put Mexico on our hearts, without discussing it with one another. So we started out on our Luke 10 yourney being sure about only two things: 1.We're heading for Mexico and 2.The Lord will guide our every...
Of all the places in India He chose one of the most beautiful. Just to recap… We have been in India for the last 5 weeks. Ministries have been set out for our time up to now but the last week in India was very much unplanned. We are only flying out to Bangkok on Sunday morning. Our travel budget is very limited and all odds seemed to be against us going to the mountains in the North of India. We prayed together and trusted God to lead us. In short the team received the following from the Lord (and...
Hi all! We are currently in Guatamala, in a town called Panajachel, it is incredibly beautiful! I feel on my heart that I want to share someting with you and ask you to pray for us. We are currently on a very tight budget. The Lord has provided for us incredibly during this trip and we trust that He will continue to do so. I do want to ask you to please pray for our time here in Guatamala specifically. We are going to help finishing a house for a widow with 6 children and a grandchild and try to...
Work Your Way has truly had a blessed time in Australia so far. We spent most our time at Mountain Trails Adventure Camp, where we helped out with Kids Camps by leading different activities such as: Archery Horse riding Abseiling Caving and dirt biking! We also did some other work projects with probably our biggest being building a Round Yard for the horses. That included some cutting really big trees down with a chainsaw... And then debarking them, putting posts into the ground and then using some threaded rod to set all the railings up (as seen below). We also...
Hello everybody greetings from South America! I've had a fantastic time in Africa and can't wait to come back! So far on the journey I've done my best to really experienced the culture of the people living here and I think I've done well. Being a part of the good team makes this task easier as it allows me to go into the local markets and get the real local experience. Our time in Kenya was very cool there was a range of events we participated in including, helping at a local school, building a prayer room, and constructing a...
Are you willing to give it all? No matter what you may see or where you may walk. Though you may stare into the eyes of demons and monsters, will you still be able to worship His name? How deep is your love for Him. Today I saw a man. A man who was barely able to walk because he was ridden with sickness. As I watched him I was able to clearly make out where one bone starts and another ends. Today I looked into the eyes of death. You do not know how a heart can...
Saturday we went to climb Sinai - the mountain of God. I couldn't wait for it to come & when Saturday arrived I was so negative - it was really a mountain that lied before me. As most of you know I struggle a bit with my health on this trip & my asthma, I thought I overcome it but I never did. So my body that actually wanted to stay in bed, started to climb Sinai. As you climb it look like a little steep hill, nothing serious and I thought this is disappointing. Then you...
A 24 year old volunteer (me) time keeping at the Global Leadership Academy sports day was hit over the head with the high jump pole that was holding up the sail providing shade in the sweltering heat. The windy city of PE certainly lives up to its name. She was rushed to the local GP by her caring team leaders. She narrowly escaped with a few stiches of laughter from herself and witnesses to this sensationalist scene. For once we can be thankful for her exceptionally hard head! Now that I have your attention.... 17 Days ago I began...
6 Weeks ago I arrived at training as a volunteer. Ready to serve the students with everything I have. Little did I know I would be climbing on a plane in a few weeks leading the Hidden world 2016 team for 11 months through more than 16 countries in the middle east, central and south america on the transforming adventure of a life time. So how did this all happen? In Red moon rising by Pete Greig he writes, Prayer is not primarily about changing things somewhere out there. It is first and foremost about changing something...
