Barbados

Barbados
We arrived all happy in Barbados since a place to stay has been provided and someone to pick us up at the airport, but then Barbados immigration did not want to let us in the country since we did not have an address where we were staying. In the end Maxine had to go with the main man to arrivals so they could speak to the Sybil that was picking us up so we could prove that we have a place to stay. After that eventful start we got to the place were we would be staying and it was...

Just LOVE over them.

Just LOVE over them.
I have been challenged to get involved in the Syrian Refugee Crisis. I have the opportunity to go on house visits to some Syrian families living in Al-Mafraq, Jordan.    I greet the woman & children, take my shoes off and sit down on the floor. They serve me and my friends tea, although they have very little - most having fled out of Syria with only the clothes on their back. We give them a box of food - some essentials.   I hear their stories. I say I am sorry about what happened. I look at the...

What a Privilege

I am currently lying on my back on a bamboo bench, Just after my fellow rookie constructionist and I finished building a sturdy wooden grass covered structure. This process involved a dangerous amount of inexperience ,riggedy scaffoldings, and the use of a nail gun while suspended up in the air.I suspect God poured out some serious last minute wisdom into our arrogantly confident hearts.None the less we are finished and admiring our golden creation. There is a sence of pride and contentment flowing through our veins.Wiping a drop of sweat from my brow, I can not help to realize the privilege of...

Walls

During our visit to the Holy land we had the opportunity to serve the people of the land on both sides of the wall. If you have never been to Israel you might not know what I am talking about, but there is a thick concrete wall seperating Israel from Palestine. I am not going to pretend that I understand why it is there neither will I condone nor condemn its existance, but I would like to share the spiritual truth God revealed to me about a different type of wall. The wall around my heart... During the year we...

Unlimited Love

We are back from Varanasi, in Delhi, after a great time of interceding for the city. We had prayer walks next to the Ganga River and in the streets. Our team went on an early morning trip on the Ganga River where we could really see and experience the influence of the religion on the people. God used our team as vessels to do His work. A man came to Christ and a lot of love has been shared through team members. We were also blessed with Gods grace through a South African lady that opened her heart to us. ...

Dusty blue sky

Ahh Middle East, what an awesome place! I'm so stoked that I had the privilege of serving the people of crossroads. I'm really liking the tea a lot it's like a mix between rooibos and normal tea, it's perfect! I thought that we would be doing intense physical labor, but actually we just helped out with whatever needed to be done! Us guys got to play soccer with the kids every Saturday but because their culture requires men to wear pants we had to play in our jeans, and that made things a bit heated, and these kids completely wrecked...

intimacy brings wholeness

I needed Him, still do, but in that moment I needed Him more, I wanted Him more.    The thing is when you see more of who Jesus really is and what He is like - your heart can’t help but change.   I’m at a place where I can’t help but smile when I talk about Jesus and what He is busy doing in my life.  In the middle of training God gave me a promise that if my heart is open for a change that it would happen, and in this moment I experience a complete change in...
