Had an amazing adventure with Jesus the past ten days in Malasia. God blessed us so much and provided abundently. He gave us so much more than we needed and I know He had an absalute jol every step of the way. Though we stumbled, He kept us in His hand and never forsaked us, just like He promessed. Theres a place which you can either love or hate. But dont trust your ears for words can only deceive. Don't trust your eyes for images can hide the truth. Sugar-Coated

I don't like washing dishes.... I like paper plates, and soft hands. Yet, here I am, dramatically staring at a caboodle of dirty pottery thanking God for this joyous occasion. What happened to me in a time period of 6 months???   It's the sixth of June 1:32 AM. Dusty blue sky

Ahh Middle East, what an awesome place! I'm so stoked that I had the privilege of serving the people of crossroads. I'm really liking the tea a lot it's like a mix between rooibos and normal tea, it's perfect! I thought that we would be doing intense physical labor, but actually we just helped out with whatever needed to be done! Us guys got to play soccer with the kids every Saturday but because their culture requires men to wear pants we had to play in our jeans, and that made things a bit heated, and these kids completely wrecked...

For the love of a child

I am in love- hopelessly,  completely and utterly head over heels!  How can one not be with beautifully dark eyes looking up to you and a dimpling smile that is pure concentrated sunshine! Every morning when a child run to with open arms and hug me  (despite the fact that I am very dirty from painting the school) I realise what an enormous priviledge it is to be loved by a child...by an orphan.  The last night I slept in the orphanage alongside two little girls.  It was an experience that I will never forget in my entire life.  We...

Fes, Fes, Fes!

This is it! Nothing is familiar. The honeymoon is over, new country, new people, new everything. But its all good, excellent in fact. Train and Taxi are the only options to leave Casablanca's airport. We opted for train, the cheaper option, but quit expensive. As directed we disembarked at the correct station, deciding to find a local bus instead of a little taxi cost us a whole lot of walking, Willem and myself left the team with the bags at some point and ran ahead to find the No 7 bus. Amasing global training.

My Global Challenge Expedition! It started off much differently than I could ever thought of.  I always thought I was this strong, flexible woman that can do all things and love every single person! First Blog and Loving it!

Global Challenge Update! So I eventually got to an Internet Cafe so here we go! Did survivor in the bush, competing for food (rice and bread) and eating it with sticks, building shelter without tools, making fire from left over coals, wearing the same clothes for 4 days, sleeping cold in the dirt, all in the name of team building. Challenging but lots of fun! After 3 days of training sessions an challenging practicals we were off to do a camp with some Gr. 8's for 3 days and then straight from there a high school camp for another 2...

Crowns to Glorify God

Phillipians 4:11-12

"...for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want"

Hong KongHong Kong was a country of "plenty" for our team, being spoiled by South Africans with South African products like biltong, droёwors, Woolies' boerewors and even koeksisters and beskuit. I quickly realised how easy it is to get caught up in every day’s things within a “normal functioning home”. It took some discipline to make time to spend with God, but I got blessed with so many new teachings and revelations from Him.
