Goeiemôre Suriname!

It feels out of place to be halfway across the world in South America and then be greeted in Dutch when you sit down for breakfast. Glimpses of Afrikaans catching your ear while the students of the bible school chat makes this almost feel like home. Suriname has less than 500 000 people and is mostly thick uninhabited jungle. The city of Paramaribo is where most of the action happens. We found ourselves 22.5 km down Marten Luther King Highway outside this capital at Hebron Zendelingen School. The school is a training base for missionaries who want to go out...

EXPECTATIONS

If there is a theme that I have learnt about a lot this year it is probably...EXPECTATIONS. I am not sure how expectations are formed. I am sure sometimes you form expecations unconciously, bue we do definetely create expectations of events, things, people and...ourselves. These expectations are not always realistic and mostly they are not always Godly.  We especially create big expectations in our minds about something as big as a Global Challenge one year journey. Things like it is just going to be fun and nice, no hard times. Spiritually just in overflow all the time, but these are...

A heart set on the things above

"You are just so ready for this..." This is the words that echoes in my heart and mind! The readiness in my heart and spirt to do what God called me to do is overwhelming!    Together with the readiness to GO and do it- comes a great sense of joy and faith! Faith in the plans that the Father has for our team but also for me personally! And JOY like I have never experienced before- to be part of such a huge movement and revival in the nations and an amazing family travelling together! But also just...

Jesus will help us...

I'm being reinvented. Trying new things. Beliefs are broken. New ones are being formed. It's not an easy process. The values Jesus taught are treasures. They bring life. They bring meaning to a world in need. They make our world a better place. The values will change humanity and the way we are living. Feed the hungry. Clothe the naked. Love your neighbor. Take care of the widows. Honor your parents. Don't kill someone. Don't take stuff that don't belong to you. Treat others the way you want to be treated. And then in the end...do this all out of...

Portugal - Karlien

Hi everyone, we are currently in Egypt, but this message will be about the amazing time we spent in Portugal.
r
We were greeted with a nice Afrikaans hello when we arrived in Portugal by Oom Manie and his wife Annelie. Arriving in Portugal, we immediately started to work, by handing out pamphlets at different schools about the Sunday service.

El modelo de Dios en Global Challenge.

Cruz
When God put in my heart the desire to come to South Africa, I was always sure that this trip would have a purpose. When I arrived to Jeffrey's Bay several people who heard God's voice shared with me, and that was like a confirmation to what I thought about my life and my relationship with my Heavenly Father for many years. Today, after a month of training at Global Challenge, I can see what is that purpose. God brought me from Peru to show me the vision and model of a missionary work which was established in Global Challenge....

80 days - Portugal

80 days - Portugal
What an experience being on 80 days! Our journey started in Egypt, Cairo and we are currently  in Portugal. Egypt: I am not sure what exactly I expected , but Egypt was not it!! Cairo is absolute chaos, and it works for some  reason!! The streets are dirty and traffic is a mess! What blew my mind most was that peolpe are content living in the mess and do not intend to better there circumstances. They choose to accept the filth, instead of cleaning just the space they live in!! There is a saying, you become like the god you...

A Bit late

A Bit late
This was one of the best weeks. Let me start at the beginning at the prayer walk. We went on some prayer walks in Varanasi. Jeremy and I walked together, and before we started praying and asked God to show us where he wanted us to pray and for what, God gave Jeremy a picture of stairs and me a picture of a monkey god, and a man with a monkey sitting in the street [we saw him the earlier the day so we knew where he was] and a picture of a peace of red clothing with golden writing...
