Frankfort Echo Farm in the Free State was a jol ! Our team served there for two weeks and it was incredible to contribute to something way bigger than ourselves. The farm is almost entirely off grid, which meant no signal (unless you walk a few kilo’s to a random bush at the top op the farm), no electricity, rats and bats as roommates and often lekker cold showers. Oh yeah, now that’s what I’m talking about ! In between the dirty feet, callused hands and a little sunburn, I really experienced true freedom. Our team is closer now than...

I want to stay on the operating table while He is busy... It’s time for an update with regards to my life; the way I see it, the Lord is my GPS in life; directing me through the nations as He sends me to go in to reflect what He has done in my life and is still busy doing...To show me my purpose in life...I can really confess that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and the only Saviour who truly saves!! Sometimes we choose our own direction but is it really where God wants...
Where did the LORD called me to be? This is a question I have been asking for two years! Joined Global Challenge, hoping that all will be revealed. The time so far this year, has been great and very much not so good. But still a time of overwhelming emotional, spiritual and in people skills growth. I always knew that GOD is at work when I am really not comfortable, or in a real bad mood or just sad! But I never grasped the fact that the Lord, is always busy to make us perfect! Today and this...
Where to begin! I feel as if so much has happened that I would like to share...so settle in and get comfortable, I'm going to take you through a few of my thoughts...
I remember the day I went to my first Leadership forum meeting. I literally only knew one person and today, with a heart overflowing with thankfulness, I can say that strangers became family, brothers and sisters in Christ. New things are just around the corner, but that doesn't mean forgetting. After 7 weeks of being away from home, I got to go to church "one last time". Man, it was bittesweet. I will forever hold every memory close to my heart. Laughing, crying, dancing and singing. Oase gemeente has left its mark in my life. Jesus, Daddy, I celebrate...
I can't describe how good God is to each one of us. (LUKE 10 JOURNEY) I woke up with a different kind of joy than I ever have, and I just couldn't stop talking to God about this joy I was experiencing. This particular morning was unique, it was not ordinary. Almost as if it were a super supernatural day. It was quite unorthodox as nothing quite significant really had happened throughout the last 24 hours. Sarah, Jo's wife whom was one of our people of peace, took me by the hand and said "market". I hopped onto the back of...
I remember landing in Mumbai feeling very owerwhelmed, knowing in the back of my mind that we only have R1500 in our budget for five days in India, a layover that truly caught us by surprise. The R1500 was needed for accommodation, transport and food for nine people. So we started our journey, first making our way through customs and soon to the streets of Mumbai, carrying our 20-23kg bags, walking to the very cheap accommodation our travel team has booked for us. We were not walking very long when God's provision already showed up in the form of two...
Luke 10 for 10 days. The Bible tells us to go heal the sick and share that the Kingdom of God is near. We are to go with peace, but without money. We went from Cancun to Guatemala. I would urge you to look at a map and see it for yourselves. I learned a lot in the past 10 days, through broken Spanish, since no one in the team could speak it, hitchhiking and giving your biggest smile so cars would stop, no food for a few days, dehydration, enjoying the scourging heat at the back of a Bakkie,...
I decided to do a global journey because Jesus was not a priority in my life anymore. He became a back up plan for when things were not going right in my life and that needed to change. Last year I was working as an accountant. I did not love what I was doing at all and I became so frustrated thinking that this was something I was going to do for the rest of my life. This caused me to neglect my relationship with the Lord completely. I was depressed, frustrated and just miserable. One night I just cried...
The year started with an awesome survival camp in the bush for one week. It was a good but hard experience! After survivor blessing. We had a lot of teachings and sermons on how to evangelize. The one and only Work Your Way team got the privilege to build a tire swing for the children at Itemba in J-bay. It was loads of fun and great to invest time and effort in the community. Then we heard the news that we are going on a 2 week mission in the Transkei. One week in Coffee bay and one week in Canzibe. The first...
