Walking into Global

20200204_205652
Walking into global I was still very insecure and uncertain and didn't know what to expect at all.  I walked into an enviroment that was judgement-free and so full of love and acceptance. Within 2 weeks the team became my family.  In the past few weeks I've learned more about loving and serving than I have in my life. I've learned  about suffering and rejoicing in it. I've learned so much about fellowship with God and man and I've learned how vulnerability can bring people closer together.  I came to Global seeking adventure but on the way I found myself,...

Learning... Growing... Living!

Learning... Growing... Living!
Wow. That's how I feel about the past weeks of training. It has been some of the most amazing times I've experienced in my life. God just came and surprised me every single day. And the people here, now my family, are all so incredible.  My life is currently being updated by God. He is working and teaching me more about Him and about life. The things I've learned and experienced during training is far more than what I could ever have imagined happening.  I'm excited to see what God has in-store for each one of us this year.

Building week

Building week
This week we were construction workers under construction. Not only did I make a lasting contribution to the Global Leadership Academy by working on the school building, but God built into my life rather unexpectedly. During the day we worked physically, but it was after hours that God really worked in me. I can say with quite certainty that this week I heard the Holy Spirit's promtings and God's voice more clear than ever. Never have I ever been so excited to get to quiet time, because it was so alive. Through out the week God worked with me from...

Notre escale Jamaïcaine, Ya man !

Luke 10 !

Argentina Testimony ( Faith ? ) We were sent out across Argentina with no food, no money and no plans. The idea was for us to step out in faith for a week and meet up in Paraguay ( 1100km away ). With this in the back of our minds, we went out wondering what kind of adventure God had in store for us.  # Day 1 # For the first few hours it went really smooth. We got lifts left and right. Then we reached a village where we got stuck. The village was about 880km away from our...

Ping Pong

At the hostel we are staying there is this central ping pong table and most of the team plays fairly well (I don't) but liking the competitiveness of it i'm really trying to give them a run for their money.I asked God to explain grace to me because like most religious concepts the word is relatively butchered. As we were playing tonight I smashed one of the best shots I ever connected in my Ping pong career yet to my utter dissapointment it missed the table by an inch and I lost the point.God told me that grace is missing...

Jamaica – God planned it long ago...

Jamaica – God planned it long ago...
Normal 0 21 false false false DE ZH-TW AR-SA MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 We can make all the plans in the world, still it's God that will direct our steps.   And, as Ephesians 2:10 says, we're created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.   For us as Distant Islands, this preparation for Jamaica already started in our first country, Cuba, when we met John...   Now John is a Jamaican, studying in Cuba.   He translated for us in church one evening and his dad is a pastor in Kingston.   So...

God showing He is in control

The worst part of 2011 is waiting for 2012 to start. I am going on "Work your way" and I am dying to go. This matrix year is just feeling too long.   When I started thinking about who I was going to ask for financial support, I listed 6 people I thought was people who can help me. I haven't talked to one of those people jet. Up until now God has given me almost half the money I need for the trip, through people I didn't even think of asking.  God showed me: Sometimes people can make plans and think we know who to ask...

Sharing Jesus without saying Jesus

My biggest challange this year but alo my biggest revelation was how to share Jesus when I am not allowed to say His name. Are actions powerful enough to convey Jesus? How do I show people Jesus in a place where I am not allowed to freely say His name? These are questions that I was struggling with for quite some time. I am a person that enjoys speaking to other people about many things, especially Jesus. That is the only way I have ever conveyed Jesus...through always speaking about Him. So when I got into a country where I...
