Tangible Love

DSC06805
You know the song, "break my heart for what breaks yours"? There are times when I regret singing it, because God wants us to know His heart, and He will definitely fulfill this request. And that's exactly what He did over this time in Africa. When this happens, you have two decisions. You could feel guilty for everything you have and make it about you. Or, you take the opportunity to learn God's heart in this situation and step up to make a difference. Even if it's in one person's life. You get to love this person with a God...

A prayer to God

---Panama, my personal newsletter--- ###A Prayer to God ### Thank you Daddy. Just thank You! I want to say it over and over. With my hands lifted up high and with tears in my eyes, I want to  declare Your greatness. You are almighty and powerful. You are my Daddy. I am proud to be Your son. God, You know the struggles and temptations we have gone through. There were so many fights God, so many restless night. But with a heart of freedom and peace, I can say I am finally at rest. Tears of JOY are forming a...

The beginnings of Explore Africa part 4

While praying and planning for EA 09 God was impressing on my heart that we had to cover the whole continent. While it wasn't possible to enter all 54 (South Sudan didn't exist yet) African nations in one year it did seem possible that we could enter at least one country in each area of the continent. In other words North, West, Central and East Africa.   The Cairo to Cape Town route was still very much at the forefront of my mind; but I soon realised that some of the other adventurers out there were talking about three possible...

To walk on water

IMG-20190306-WA0007

When I first explained to people what I'm doing this year, they kind of looked at me funny, and then as I kept talking they started smiling more. I think it's the same for how I felt about what im doing this year.

Finding God’s treasures in a Carribean Tropical Paradise – The Cayman Islands

Cayman Islands is amazingly, breathtakingly beautiful! We can’t believe that most of us didn’t know about this place before this journey. The ideal holiday destination! There are so many tourists and even foreigners who work and stay here (Americans, Jamaicans, South Africans and many, many more). Everyday there are between 3-6 of those big cruise ships that come to bring their guests to enjoy the Island. There are all these cool animals on the Island like Blue Iguanas, Sea Turtles and you can even swim with Stingrays and Dolphins!

Jamaica

m JAMAICA Spiritually it felt like I was trapped in a jail cell with people who gave up on life. Their dreams were forgotten and their futures were left unwritten. Hopeless! Blinded by their past and poverty, they were just waiting...not for something or someone; they were just waiting.  What amazed me the most was the fact that all of them knew the good news of Jesus. Hopelessness was drowning them... killing them one by one.  I found myself limited by my knowledge and wisdom and soon afterwards became hopeless myself. The atmosphere was so heavy it started to choke...

And We Dance

Melissa-and_we_dance
Our time in Johannesburg has flown by!   One of the most blessed and challenging aspects of this season has been stepping into worship through dancing. I’ve always loved to worship the Lord through song and have often felt the nudging to really dance before the Lord as well but have never had the courage to do so publicly. However, freedom is now the word I’m associating with worship and so dance before the Lord I shall!   I’m so excited about the new ways that Holy Spirit is speaking to my heart and moving in my life. It feels...

A new beginning!

LRM_EXPORT_20180121_222125
Hello, Welcome to my blog! I'm not sure what I'm doing here yet, but im doing it. This blogging thing is new to me. I want to keep the theme of my blogs about experiences even if it's more personal, but it would be better if you could learn something out of it. First of all during training we haven't had a place to call home, the longest time we spent at the same place was 5 days. So we got pretty comfortable with being uncomfortable. My experiance during training has been challenging me emotionally, physically and spiritually. I've been...
