More than you expect...

Sometimes in life things are not like expected, and the ways God work is confined deep within us within a certain way.    Well God has no boundaries and no limits. The lessons He taught me was more valuable than having it all the easy way. God had to get me at a place where I could realize it's all about Him. Giving more of Him gives life. Giving Him is more valuable to people than giving something of myself.  It's about looking past a blessing into Gods will. Because sometimes we are so focused on a blessing we need...

All out for the EvanGEELIE!!
48 People, millinons of dreams, loads of expectations and ONE misssion: to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to the world...and it all starts at basecamp. basecamp started with a big bang! One of the combies broke down on the way to J-bay and some of the team members found out with a big suprise that they would be sleeping on the ground, as they forgot their mattrasses. Even though there were a few hick ups to start with, it has not bring our spirit down! So what is basecamp? Basecamp is where you go back to basics, where we get...

A heart of flesh, a heart like Jesus

7006B916-61C4-4AF5-B14D-EBC202189A8F
Sometimes we have a hardened heart against certain groups of people, for some rich people it will be against the poor and homeless; even some races have hardened hearts toward each other. This all causes conflict, hate, judgement, etc.   That makes it difficult to serve and love people like Jesus loves them. I fully understand why people are like that. It is a hardening of our hearts over a long period of time, a sense of being better another group of people, being above them.   There are many varying causes to this:   history, wrong belief systems, cultural...

Man vs Creation

Traveling is fun and seeing the monument and wonder of the world is something that everybody has the chance to do. I enjoy that part of the journey as well, but there is something I realized by going to places like this. There are 2 big groups of wonder to see. The one is "man made." This is a human mind that thought about something and humans that created it. (e.g. Taj Mahal & Pyramids) Sure it is big and must have taken a long time to make,  it has a significance, but for me it is just missing something.

Finances???

Finances???
Peru ### AN IMPORTANT VALUE LEARNED #### %( PART 1 )% Finances is a personal topic. We are all ashamed to talk about it, especially if you are a Christian. @ How are we going to use our money? @ What should we buy and what not? @ How much should we give to the church ? @ Should we give our money to the poor ? @ Should we give our money to a NGO ? @ Should we take out a loan form the bank ? @ Should we spend our money on luxuries ? These are the...

15/03/2015 The kids in Kenya

Our first ministry point in Kenya was with Joy in her 3 layer house. Almost like her impressive cakes she bakes. Usually a house has floors but this one is special. It's layered against a little hill just off Forest line road in Ngong. We were privileged to help out at Harvest School. The amount of pupils...21. This means very personal attention from staff that really love what they do. Kids in Kenya are well behaved and educated. They greet you around every corner, always smile, and even let you take the occasional nap with them while listening to a...

HOME

I remeber getting off at the airport in Panama and almost tearing up when I saw a Toyota Hilux in thr parking bay. Even though Cuba was a phenominal experience, there was something comforting in seeing vehicles and technology we are use to, it felt like home. From sharing testimonies in prison and to a old general in the Panamanian riots, handing out tracks and sharing the good news in parks and in public and having the previledge of sharing our stories on a Panama radio station, Pastor Bill from Gamboa Union Church left a lasting impression. His way of...

Jesus is an artist...

Sitting here, staring at a screen and trying to think of words that I can use to fill this blank space. Trying to find the words to describe what Jesus has done in my heart and all the things I have experienced during Training 2017. As I think back, I am absolutley speechless and all I can do at this moment is praise God because he is truly amazing!!! I wrote a poem (more like a descriptive paragraph) in training, I think it is a good way to kick start this new thing, called blogging and to share some of...
