Here I am, this is me

I decided to come to Global with the mindset to grow as much as possible, I realised in order to achieve that I had to give it all over to God and trust Him fully in whatever He says, even though it might not make sense at the moment.     I was definitely challenged and tempted to just give up and fall back into the way I always used to do things, but even through that God worked for my good! He showed me how to give my stuff over to Him. How to talk to Him about what...

In the Press

Have you ever wondered how olive oil is made? I suppose many of us have given it a fleeting thought, but I'm pretty sure that only a few have sought to fully comprehend this intricate process (don't worry, neither have I). Luckily this message will not be an extensive explanation thereof, but rather one about how God has started the process in me - merely a month ago:   I've been plucked and tossed in a basket with many other olives - all eager to become what the Farmer has called us to be; whether it be as food on...

The beauty of childlike faith

IMG-20190823-WA0005
My breath excitedly racing My heart smiling My eyes sparkling My cheeks glowing..  As I play hide and seek with (very adorable) Taiwanese nine year old boys.  What was once in my heart meant to be a plain straightforward ruled out game for little kids instantly changed to what I now perceive as the foremost adventurous hiding, looking, running, stopping, jumping, rolling, peaking, crouching and last but not least seeking.  I almost tripped as I ran from underneath a little shelter to jumping underneath a railing and crouching behind a bush because I couldn't help but laugh as my adventurous...

Survival

My dad once said I am at my happiest on a couch doing absolutely nothing and that if possible; I’d spend my whole life that way.

a form or reality

a form or reality
A form is something that seems real looks like it's the real deal but it's not reality. I thought in my head I new God but he was only in my head, but now that I'm here in Turkey Istanbul I'm realising that God is real and alive he is the one that we can trust. I mean we where @ Ephesus where Paul was preaching know that i just realised that This is real God is not a form but he is real.we also visited some people who are Christian's and thy told us about thy testimony how God...

The JOURNEY begins

The JOURNEY begins
Walking the journey God has set before us is a road sometimes only seen by patience and faith.  This gravel road leading into eternity. Looking ahead and stepping into today means that I am going... going in faith because I just know He will be there. Seeing the unseen and taking hold of each moment.     The eyes of faith see what others cannot see. Those who have faith live by a different standard. Those who can perceive eternity with their hearts will pay any price and make any sacrifice to be part of the city that God is building. Once eternity is in our hearts, faith...

Do you Remember?

Do you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be? I was confronted with these words the last couple of weeks, in the sense of 'Are we what we do?' Are we what our surroundings make us out to be? Are we what our profession tells us to be? Or are we maybe something else? During the first week of training we were confronted with why do you do the the things that you do? Is it maybe to impress someone? Or to reach a goal- for instance for self glorification? I use to think...

Pray before taking a single step

IMG-20190423-WA0002
On the 15th of March we arrived at our very first country, Rwanda. We were greeted by Bosco, our host and his family with a lot of love. Bosco runs a NGO where he nominates underprivileged children for a mentorship program, for proper schooling and to teach them the proper values and skills to be affective leaders. I immediately got excited when they told us that we would be helping at a local school teaching them from English to even sports. Members of our team was also needed at Bosco's office, for admin and advertisement of his NGO. During the...

Live without a bubble

13631982_14707198650719_rid6

Like in the movie Bubble boy, we as humans tend to live in a bubble, a space where we feel save and comfortable to live our lives. But we go in to defence mode and attack people when ever thay threaten our bubble. The same goes with religion.
