As family we go

Jesus was the only self-sufficient man to ever live, yet He chose to live, travel and minister with community.   This means there is something special about family. Since Adam and Eve left the garden, the whole story of scripture has been about a family on the move. And so, this is a story about the forming of a new family, undergoing training and being equipped for a very special journey.   The one thing that stands true for this family is that we did not chose each other…but God certainly chose us to be together. Two months ago we...

The power of forgiveness

IMG-20190502-WA001_20190502-143751_1
In 1994 there was a genocide in Rwanda where the Hutu people group hunted down, tortured and killed their Tutsi brothers and sisters. These people used to be neighbours, living together in harmony on the beautiful hills of Rwanda.  At the genocide memorial museum, we heard stories of Tutsi families slaughtered by their Hutu friends. The friends they thought would protect them. This was truly inhumane and our Rwandan friends agreed that it was impossible for a whole people group to turn into murderers if it was not by some demonic force. This attack definitely started in the spiritual realm....

I am the clay

I am the clay
Does the potter not have the right over the clay, to make from the same lump [of clay] one object for honorable use [something beautiful or distinctive] and another for common use [something ordinary or menial]? Romans 9:21 This verse never really sunk in before I started my journey. I came in here thinking that I am a polished diamond, but I walked into a world full of rough diamonds. It's been a life-changing process of becoming the original rough diamond that God wants me to be so that He can start shaping me into His caracter. Six days of...

Hong Kong – So short, but so sweet!

Our week in Hong Kong was filled with so much love and blessings! We experienced God in new and wonderful ways and we found amazing ministry opportunities for the future. We think that God is planning big things and that future Global Challenge teams have a lot to look forward to for ministry in Hong Kong. Ready for an adventure

14 Maart 2017 The vision of Adventure bound is to live ,grow and serve. We love adventure and we are not afraid to risk. We are 6 girls living in one house seeking God's heart and want to learn more and more each day. We will be involved with the Imagine camp- to market it and to attend the camp and serve in whatever capacity needed.  Imagine Camp is for teenagers between 13 - 19 years old. After the Camp we will be serving the Global Challenge Community by helping to complete the 3 log homes. When Uncle Joe prophesied...

Family - it's a lifestyle

This year...this team...this journey I recalled watching the story of Rend Collective Experiment's new album.   "What we've learned is that faith is all about risk and adventure. Those who make a difference in the world is risk takers. We as a church are never meant to be a timid and huddled up club looking for safety but a pilgrim family in progress of chasing after the wild lion heart of God. The Holy Spirit moves the most when we move out of our comfort zones and into the world where the need is great and where we can build...

The Bigger Picture

IMG-20190328-WA0007
I can't! I can't leave it like that! I just simply can't! I NEED to finish what I started!  Not being able to finish the chiseling on the hand gave me a pain in the stomach!  I really wanted to finish it.  To see the end result.    I feel like a lot of times in our lives we are part of something where we are not able to see the end result. Feeling that what we did or are doing does not change anything or that it will have no effect on the society.    Well that is how...

Going to Transkei :)

This next 3 weeks is going to be great! I can only say 3 weeks because I have no idea what is going to happen in the forth. But I bet you the forth week is also going to be something amazing. This week we are going to eat on a budget of R12 per day per person. Nice! Die 2 weeks after that, we are going to Transkei. We are going to put up fences, paint and rebuild a school. We do not have a budget for this project. If you want to help us by making a donation...
