Sun and desert heat will not hurt them, for they will be led by one who loves them. He will lead them to springs of water.” Isa 49:10 During a 28 hour bus ride from Ghana to Burkina Faso, we were listening to the news that kept blasting over the speakers. When asked for the interpretation someone nonchalantly translated that they were speaking about the food crisis...

I am Christine (Christine means follower of Christ) i am a woman filled with fear of the Lord, I stand on integrity and run away from evil, I wear strength and honor as my clothing. Chris dwells in my heart through faith. I am rooted and grounded in love. I desire to know the love of Christ and to be filled with the fullness of God. Unto God be the glory everyday of my life. To bear witness to the truth and be a light in the darkness.
Monday, 14 th of June marked the last day of food distribution for the Explore Africa 2010 Team. While our journey continues through Africa, we hope and pray that The URN Project will still continue to change and save lives. We received news on Sunday that the Nigerien government finally announced a state of emergency and hopefully the food shortages will receive a lot more press coverage and much needed attention. In the first half of May whilst still in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, the URN Project was born out of lots of hope, prayers and uncertainty. We initially trusted the...
Greetings from a volcanic crater lake in Guatemala. Panajachel, is a small tourist town that sits on the rim of a cauldron lake, "Lake Atitlan". Here is where some of your "global challenge" troops are at this time. I thought you might appreciate a good report on their activities.
While turning through the treasure chest pages of the valuable Word of God, God's journal, something switched a light on in my heart... The Author of this book never spent more than a few sentences to describe the places that the characters walked, the things they've seen. He didn't think it necessary to explain how the garden of Eden looked and what the view from king Solomon's palace was. We never read about the colours, smells and sounds of the market place in Babel or the dusty streets of Emmaus, the inside of a big fish! How did it feel...
The URN Project is on a roll Watch our video: [video: 100x100] Praise the Lord for the R26 400 we have already received. With this money we will be able to serve our first targeted village with food parcels! This weekend we spent time with the Fulani tribe in Tânout, which is our major distribution point. When we arrived, it really broke our hearts to see numerous children with empty buckets begging for food. We enjoyed time with the Fulani tribe and also had some Bible studies with them.We discussed the project, and they are very excited and thankful on...
What a way to wake up after a rather topsy turvy start to NZ... I can hardly believe its over, its nausiating really... but the good kind.. the I 've got butterflies from excitement 'cause I know what lies ahead kind.. the realisation of how much we need Jesus kind.. the scream into your pillow and kick your legs around kind.. the look how God rocked our world in NZ kind! After being fined 400 dollars for an orange at the airport (insert little gag effect here), we were greeted by Work Your Way (another team who we seem to run into often) Clara (project...
What an awesome 2 weeks!! We left for Coffee Bay the 12th of Jan and slept over in PE at Stoffel's cousin, who blessed us so much!! In the few hours we were standing there we...
