(Hi everyone! This blog was suposed to be posted yesterday, but due to some unforeseen circumstances we are only able to post it today.) We are in Phuket!! If you wondered why there was no blog yesterday, it was because we travelled and only arrived late in Phuket. Stephan and the people that we stayed at in Hatyai blessed us tremendously with accommodation, but it was more than just a bed, Stephan actually moved out of his flat for a day or two just to accommodate us. We will be forever thankful for his hospitality. A songtou (a bakkie with...

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.

I just started training in Jeffreysbay for Global Challenge. I received a new family that supports me and which I can trust. I have God on my side. How can this year and the rest of my life not be good?!!!! Lets start with the training. The classes is exciting, insightful and fulfilling. We are doing the Veritas bible school and it is so practical and fun. It starts with basic things about how we should read the Bible by exegesis and then how to apply and teach it in our lifes. Feels like I started to read the Bible...
Hurricane Agatha that struck the south of Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador has left a wake of destruction, devastation and dead bodies. With countless families loosing lives, homes and possessions we find ourselves in the midst of great need. Having hit on 29 May 2010, shortly after the Northbound team left, the effects are still being felt with problems far from over. With the hurricane comes torrential rain causing mudslides and rockslides leaving everything in near proximity buried. Panajachel, a town in the southwest Guatemalan highlands on the shore of Lake Atitlan, has been rather affected as well as those...
This is literally the tenth attempt I'm making at writing an introduction to this blog. Simply because I have no words funny enough to put onto paper our visit with three Spanish boys. The Giggel Geel Guacamole Girls headed to our home visit and Bible Study expecting an hour of Spanish preaching followed by uncomfortable chit chatting before we could head back home. To say we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. To say we laughed more than at any other time this year would be true. We were welcomed by Norma, the lady of the house, she however said...
First stop of our journey to the nations to go and spread the word of our saviour Jesus. Having the time of our live and rebel for Christ what an adventures journey(lifestyle). Panama city, the first stop to love the people around us and to walk by Faith. Living with pastor Bill in Gamboa Union Church for a week doing some prison ministering and joining ywam (youth with a mission) for a day. The few days in central America is so far a journey like none other. I truely can't wait for what lies ahead... Panama is...
Fadwa*. Our first visit was two weeks ago to a highly pregnant Fadwa. Today we hold a little Maria in our hands. Perfectly formed. The little hands are a picture of perfection. Small knuckles, small nails. She clasps my finger, barely fitting her fingers around it. We are sitting on UN mats - a grim reminder of the brokenness and realness of their situation. But for a moment, the hurt and the ugliness of humanity fades in the glory of new life. In the beauty of creation. And Fadwa is a worthy mother, her circumstances forgotten. She walks with her...
WOW! Is all I can say about this beautiful town and its friendly people in the middel of Siberia... On monday afternoon me, Pieter, Andre, Albie and Shanine left Krasnoyarsk for Divnogorsk where we are ministering this week. We were welcomed by the church members at a braai (yes, can you believe it!) and they showed us the Hidro Power Station and the Sea of Krasnoyarsk. On Monday and Wednesday evening we sang some songs on the street, handed out balloons, spoke to people who passed by and shared a little bit of what we are doing and our testimonies....
