A number of GCX08 participants are from SA Gemeente (Congregation) in London:  Stefan (GC staff), Sulene (Project leader), Hector (Red team leader), Marizy (Lime team leader), Debree (Lime team member), Liza (Blue team member), Mari (Blue team member) and Nina (who was part of GC07 and joined the Lime team during our time in Zambia). We still appreciate the support, prayer and encouragement we receive from SAG a lot.  All of us have been greatly blessed through our involvement in SAG during our time of working in the UK. Something I will always remember with gratitude from SAG, is the fellowship and upliftment I enjoyed in cell groups, camps,...

Dare to share

Dare to share
New Zealand   I am truly convinced that the beauty of the world was cut into pieces and then God puzzled them together in the shape of an Island, New Zealand. I watched a documentary of a helicopter flying over the South Island that revealed places and beauty that no man has set foot on.  " The South Island is a mountainous Island.  As far as the eye can reach nothing is to be seen but the summits of these rocky mountains.  These mountains seem to lie so close to each other the valleys between them fade in the eye...

My first ever blog:)

My first ever blog:)
Hey... Mannn I've been putting off writing this blog for a while, just because I've no clue how to go about this. So i'm just going to introduce myself...:) My name is Gehta van Tonder. I live in White River Mpumalanga and I finished school this year. 'Nuff bout that, the moment I heard of Global Challenge I could feel the Holy Spirit prompting me to go. I know next year isn't going to be easy (hence the word 'challenge':D), but I have decided to follow Jesus with everything in me, no turning back. I want Jesus to be proud...

Beauty for ashes♡

Beauty for ashes♡
So, I woke up in my own bed this morning after 7 weeks of sleeping in unfamiliar places with people I hardly know. Now I can say that I have 35 new homes built in my heart. On Thursday night we were commisioned, and man, what a long journey to FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!    Talking about homes.  Time to be honest about the one I'm living in. The one you can't see with your eyes.  The one you feel with your heart.     For quite a long time, I was disobedient and didn't want to leave behind the familiar, to experience...
