One of the worst - PHOTOS

One of the worst - PHOTOS
Dear friends and family. After our mi_istry in Cameroon its time to travel again. But this was the roughest and toughest this year till now but also personally the most enjoyable, well parts of it. If the terms 4wd and mud gets your adrenalin going then this is for you. After our time in Yaounde it was time to head for Nigeria. We stopped over in Bafousam for two nights. Had the opportunity to shortly speak to all the church leaders from the western province at a conference, and also had a long time slot for an interview at a...

Remembering Emma - West China

Remembering Emma - West China
Some of you might remember how we in 2007 told the story of a young woman, by the name of Emma, in the West of China. We met her during our visit to China last year and was absolutely amazed by her courage, longing heart and strong will to know the TRUTH! I thought it a good idea to prayerfully remind you of Emma's story and the circumstance she faces in the West of China. Have a look at this video - Just Click on the READ MORE link and lets pray for her and other believers in similar circumstances....

When a matchbox changed a boy's life

When a matchbox changed a boy's life
I guess when God gives you a vision for something.. It’s because HE wants to do something... Even though it sound absurd, obeying might just blow your mind.. So middle 2012 I had to raise money for my journey in 2013 from SCRATCH.. God gave me an idea to make about 1000 matchboxes with my details and the following slogan.. “Take a matchbox and help me lighten a dark world with God’s light..” I didn’t think that God was literal about it.. So I handed out these boxes, spreading it all around and trusting that God would open people’s  hearts...

Urgent Relief for Niger Project Update

Urgent Relief for Niger Project Update
The URN Project is on a roll Watch our video: [video: 100x100] Praise the Lord for the R26 400 we have already received. With this money we will be able to serve our first targeted village with food parcels! This weekend we spent time with the Fulani tribe in Tânout, which is our major distribution point. When we arrived, it really broke our hearts to see numerous children with empty buckets begging for food. We enjoyed time with the Fulani tribe and also had some Bible studies with them.We discussed the project, and they are very excited and thankful on...

Yahweh-Yireh during our Luke 10

Yahweh-Yireh during our Luke 10

This last week, I learnt that The Lord provides in abundance and delights in blessing His children. Us Global Challengers had the opportunity to practically apply all that we have learnt during training by going on a 5-day Luke 10 journey from Wednesday to Sunday. Simply put, we followed in the footsteps of the 72 disciples that were sent out by Jesus as "lambs amongst the wolves" in Luke chapter 10. Each small team prayed and waited upon The Lord for direction as to where He wanted them to go.

Call for support and prayer for Adana

Northbound arrived safely in Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday. We were blessed by the presence of Bronwyn and Clara, who have taken up a position of leadership while David and Dunette are absent. We had no definite plans set out for our time in Turkey, but hoped to be invited to go to one of our brothers in Christ’s home church in Adana or go to Kusadasi. Previous GCX teams have served and visited Kusadasi before and the ruins of Ephesus and the early church is also within the city. Just before Clara and Bronwyn left South Africa we received an...

Building home SWEET home in India

india

Southbound 2011 is heading to India on Saturday 25th September to finish off our one year journey and we are excited to experience another culture, with many opportunities for ministry. Four weeks of our time will be spent at an orphanage, which has about 400 children with a range of ages up to 18. There we will spend time with the children and also help with projects such as painting and repairing buildings.

At the moment, as a team we do not have the finances to cover the building materials to carry out the projects set out for us or bless the children with play equipment. To be able to support the orphanage we ask that you would consider supporting the ministry there. The main need is for paint and equipment, as well as the need to bless the children living in the orphanage.

The Big picture behind 80 Day unfolding in a map…

I once heard someone say that one should be careful before putting a world map on your wall, because you don’t know where God will take you.   What can I say, not only did I not listen…I have three of them!   And God’s been taking me all over the world.   Looking at the world map, following the route we’ll be going on during the upcoming 80 days, I found myself bewildered.   I am privileged to have visited a few countries, yet compared to the rest of the world, it’s only a few dots.   The...
