PROUDLY SOUTH AFRICAN IN THE SNOWY HIMALAYAS!* Today was a new experience to a lot of us! We had the day off (it was Charmaine‘s birthday), spent about R55 and we were all off to the Himalayas to go on a bit of a hike to experience the true Himalayan experience… SNOW! An hour an a half ride through the mountains in the Indian jeeps (Mahindra) we were at our drop-off! It started raining! Now the question was… to go on this 3 hour hike in the rain to see snow, or to go back to town and sit in...

Northbound book of records found the smallest and biggest apple of all time at the local Greek market in Athens. The market was such an invigorating experience with all the beautiful colors and fresh produce available. It was tantalizing just to look at. There were more than 9 different kinds of olives on display and we could also taste some of them. The colors of all the fresh fruit and vegetables painted the most beautiful picture. The Greek people are also very friendly! We were able to taste some of the different kinds of meat and sausage available. I was blessed by a free banana, which...

Do you have sometimes moments where you will do something regular like shopping or watch t.v. and suddenly something stimulates your mind that makes you relize how awesome our God is. For example when you're walking in a mall and you see a little baby and the thought comes to mind how fragile but so unique that little baby is, or if you watch a bird bathing in a bird pond and you see something of God in that whole moment. Well, I have now such an overwelming feeling of God's awesomeness while I'm thinking of the pass few days and while I'm sitting here in Japan looking at all the airplanes standing
before me waiting to get airborn! The last part of the run way just before the airplaine lifts up is called "the point of no return". Isn't it an awesome way to decribe how a life in Christ is? How many of you can testify that since God began His journey with you, there is a point of no return in your life! amazing! awesome!
I chose you!
God doesn’t chose us if He doesn’t think we can be like Him. HE HAS FAITH IN US! Jesus has faith that we can follow Him and be like Him!
May you have faith that Jesus has faith in you!
Five Hidden World members were urgently called to Tibet. This door only remains open until the beginning of October and until when it will be closed, we do not know. Tibet is known as a closed country and is under a lot of oppression. Tourist could not enter for a while until June of this year and cannot enter after the 1st of October. Thus we are left with a very small open door. We arrived in Nepal and waited on the Lord for a clear direction of where to go. As He provided for us opportunity after opportunity...

After two months of training and preparation the day finally arrived for the international leg of our Global Challenge journey to begin! It was with much excitement and expectation that our entire group of 36 students got on the midnight flight form Johannesburg to Dar Es Salam. On arrival we stepped out into the pressing humidity of an early morning in Tanzania. Everyone scurried about to pick up their bags and hurry off to catch the next mode of transport which would take us to our various destinations. When the commotion died down it became evident that my bag might...
Istanbul! How cool was it to be in one city on two different continents!!!! That blew my mind! But what caught me first is how alive everything was. Driving from the airport in Asia to our guesthouse in Europe (I know.. It sounds quite cool.) I saw that this city definitely never sleeps. Buildings light up and dance, all around amazing tulip plantations show you which way to go. I was captivated by the beauty of Turkey. My heart ached at the sight of everything. I knew that this would be my favorite country! When we reached Mavi Guesthouse we...
WHAT...??? I have to do what with my toilet paper? hmm... I am still wrapping my head around the cultural differences I am about to be faced with such as the 'no left hand' rule... and 'bog roll-in-the-bin-not-in-the-loo' rule... and the toilets on the ever fresh smelling train... YUM :) :) But I am READY... .... So since its 1.35am and I am yet to pack, I do believe 'tomorrow' has arrived a day early *mental distress signal initiated* but... nonetheless I shall mention some *fun facts* about India... (if you haven't caught on by now that would be our...
