God's People

Our trip through Egypt and Israel is coming to an end, but the experiences we shared will echo in our lives for years to come.  In Egypt we saw the ancient paths from the Bible.  The country seems to lack joy and hope, but in some places there is a very bright light shinning.  We visited the Garbage City Church which was amazing.  The people there are real and full of the joy of the Lord.  We met some interesting people and learned a lot about different cultures!  On our way to Israel we had the privilege of climbing Mount Sinia...

Being a leader

Okay so a long time have passed since I have send any letter, things have been a little bit rough for me as a leader the last month or so. I knew it’s going to be difficult and tough leading a team but this is a new kind of tough.

It’s tough spiritually and emotionally, it kind of crept in unnoticed, very subtle at first.

Then suddenly boom!

Dane Thailand(final) - Hong Kong

Hong Kong is Beautiful!  There are tall modern buildings everywhere, featuring ammusing light displays,  all surrounded by mountains, sea and health-green vegetation.  We stayed over for 3 nights, driving buses, ferries and the undergound train, but most importantly walked the streets and met the people of Hong Kong. The people are Beautiful!  Mostly friendly and humble and always willing to help.  Unfortunately, there exists a "money-making" mentality that demands a committed, focused and obsessive working lifestyle, averaging 10 hours a day. I met a very special friend caught up in this  "cultural-chain", but desperate to seek and know the truth. I thank God for His grace.  I stand in amazement...

A Journey off Faith and Fun

Rewinding: Leaving Canzibe, Transkei, early on the morning of 18 February, in an over packed 'bakkie' type taxi, seemed as normal and innocent as any other morning.... But what came next was yet more proof that nothing in Global Challenge is ever as it seems, least of all normal or 'innocent'! Divided into teams of 5-6 people, each person received R200 in cash and a note that read 'Transkei Challenge', and what happened after that was as unpredictable as predicting the weather! Our group of 6 people starts our challenge without any clear clue of what to do. All we...

Being an envoy for the King in BRAZIL!

An envoy for the King! Proverbs 13:17 “ A wicked messenger falls into adversity, but a faithful envoy brings healing.” This scripture was prophesied over me before leaving for a mission trip to Brazil in December 2011. An envoy is an entrusted messenger covered by both the protection and the authority of the King as it was the King’s message that he would be carrying and therefore, would be regarded as the King himself. The message that our King had entrusted us with to Brazil was a message of power, a message of life and a message of truth that...

The Challenge begins...a journey with God

The Challenge begins...a journey with God
Date: 25 January 2009 Place: Jeffrey's bay, South Africa   We have started the year's journey with the first two weeks in Jeffrey's bay. I had to learn that I am leaving everything behind. Everything that I have built up for the last couple of years... my friends, the comfort of my home, the safe environment and everything that is familiar to me. The hardest part for me by commencing on this journey is to leave everything in the hands of God and to trust God completely for His provision... a huge step of Faith... and also a new chapter...
