MAY flies (very quickly)

MAY flies (very quickly)
"But it's my last one..."  Yip, the day has arrived, it is the 31st of May and the last day of our blogging challenge. For us the day started at 5am at Tobi's house.  Everyone packed his belongings and we had some delicious oats to fill us before leaving for the bus station.  We all said our goodbyes and it was a privilege to be able to bless Tobi and his family with a prayer.  We enjoyed our stay tremendously and Welman found  his long lost sister, Pinky... the evidence was in the hair. Welman and Pinky.  Pang looking happy....

Through the eyes of the Saviour

Through the eyes of the Saviour
Walking on the side walk, like any normal day, you passed Him by so easily, without even looking His way. Sitting just to the right a Man dressed in white, shining with all God's glory, beauty and might. How could you not see Him, He was sitting right there, Maybe you were to busy thinking of worldly things, or maybe you were looking through a physical stare. To see His awesome glory, you have to keep in mind,  not to stop at only the physical, but also look through your spiritual eyes. What you probably saw was a filthy man...

But will you remember me?

NIGER I took a picture of you today a moment captured in time you gave me a glimpse of your soul a second to feel your heartbeat When I look at this picture I will remember you, Niger: By the look in the eyes of a boy sitting on a cart drawn by a bull the strained muscles of an elderly man carrying eighty litres of water in Guidiguir the warm bodies of innocent and neglected children fighting for a place next to me in Dogo the awe and attention of hundreds watching the Jesus film out of the dark corners...

Being a leader

Okay so a long time have passed since I have send any letter, things have been a little bit rough for me as a leader the last month or so. I knew it’s going to be difficult and tough leading a team but this is a new kind of tough.

It’s tough spiritually and emotionally, it kind of crept in unnoticed, very subtle at first.

Then suddenly boom!

A Mind Blowing and Heart Changing 2011...Bring on 2012

We come home bearing good news for the local church… that Jesus is alive and the gospel is spreading and infiltrating into even the most challenging of places through the lives of humble servants who are offering themselves as living sacrifices for the furthering of His Kingdom, and what a privilege it has been to partner with them...

Be where you are

Step into the classroom thinking this is it. Leaving your books in your bag like you know what to expect. You’ve done this before so why would you bother expecting more.    And so it begins.   You do what needs to be done with the time that has been given to you. You continue as you always have believing lies and making them true because thats what happens when you believe a lie. You grow reluctant towards purpose as you wear the mask that everyone sees as true. As you continue on surviving you find deeper strength that shows...

The Challenge begins...a journey with God

The Challenge begins...a journey with God
Date: 25 January 2009 Place: Jeffrey's bay, South Africa   We have started the year's journey with the first two weeks in Jeffrey's bay. I had to learn that I am leaving everything behind. Everything that I have built up for the last couple of years... my friends, the comfort of my home, the safe environment and everything that is familiar to me. The hardest part for me by commencing on this journey is to leave everything in the hands of God and to trust God completely for His provision... a huge step of Faith... and also a new chapter...
