From Cuba to Caymans, can you say CULTURE SHOCK!?

Signs, wonders and miracles.  Miracles.  Yes, we saw many of those!  Being in a country where the cheapest hotel costs R1 500 a night, per room, camping is illegal and prison ministry isn't something we want to attempt - yet. (For any parents reading this, don't worry, your kids are still happy, safe and in very good, responsible hands!)  So yes, our Global budget isn't able to stretch that far, so what do YOU do then??  Well, it's simple.  You pray!  And God works.  Oh man, and He did!  God provided in so much abundance!

What a Woman of God REALLY Looks Like

What a Woman of God REALLY Looks Like
Hello everyone!!           So this is officially the first blog post of the year- hopefully the first of many!! So I will be writing a little unconventionally- I feel like there is a lot of explaining going on about what we have been doing for the last 3 weeks. I don't really feel like explaining today, so instead I will give a few word description of what we did and and how I felt about it or what I learned. I hope you enjoy!   Training started January 9th: After 2 days of traveling, I am...

PRAY FOR INDIA

PRAY FOR INDIA, PRAY FOR INDIA, PRAY FOR INDI-AAA!!! This is the song the girls taught us to dance to while we were there earlier this year...  We've been remembering again and again to pray for the orphanages, their staff, each of the children who crept so deeply into our hearts, the country and all the Christians who live there. Since the end of August the State of Orissa has been facing severe persecution.  Many have died as martyrs and thousands are left homeless after churches and villages had been burnt to the ground.  I remember the verses God used...

The Lady in White

I want to tell you a story about a lady dressed in white.  She is always there when you need someone to lean on, someone to talk to, someone to take care of you and someone to love you.  She never passes by without touching your heart... She is concerned about more than just your health.  She wants to know where you've been and where you are going, whats your dreams and goals. What you've been through and what she can do for you. Where have I seen this lady? Where have I experienced her touch? Where is she now?...

Don`t let grass grow under your feet

Our time her in China has been a great learning experience.  Living and working with our contact here has been so great.  Personally, it feels like I have seen and tasted the live of going, committing, living, and staying where God has called you to serve。  I realized that there is so much at stack to go when you are not ready。I can not deny the value I see in being mentored and guided, but there is also the urgency for the harvesters to go out and reap the harvest。 Being here and seeing the need for the harvester makes me think...

The Journey Lies Ahead

The journey lies ahead

Many people believe that the earth is flat, the rest think it's round. Does it really matter? Because ultimately there will always be the hills on the road, mountains with snow hats, valleys with lush forests, oceans with roaring waves, rivers with tons of water which you will encounter and to conquer, cross, climb or swim, requires more than just a strong mind or body, It requires faith and the ability to have no fear.

These first few weeks have been a journey of faith. On this journey God will test your faith, leave you with nothing, but give you everything at the same time (Luke 10 journey) He will create character in you and He will restore your identity by challenging your faith in Him.

He has found me in a desert land and in the waste howling wilderness He led me about. He instructed me and kept me as the apple of His eye. He has searched for a remnant that is willing to walk this journey to listen and obey, to lay down your life out of love for Him. His sons and daughters don't believe in Him so that they can go to heaven. We don't read the bible or pray because we know that's the right thing to do. We walk with Him because we love Him.

His spirit will beautify you and prepare you, cleanse and sanctify you. The  journey lies ahead.
