What a priveledge to experience the 2011 training for the GCEX teams in Coffee Bay. The team members are working hard in the harsh waether conditions of the Wild Coast. Yesterday the group washed the feet of all the children in the school. Samaritan Feet provided new tekkies for all the children and they were so happy to receive their new shoes. Stoffel, leader of Explore Africa brought an inspired message and a number of children committed their lives to the Lord. God is really doing a wonderfull work in and through the teams.
Mount Sinai (10 March - 11 March) What a beautiful view, feeling as if you are standing on top of the world! This was definitely my favourite part of the Egypt journey! While climbing mount Sinai, referred to as mountain of God, I couldn't stop thinking about a verse in Psalms; who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart. (Ps 24 :3-4) The question is... How clean is your hands, and how pure is your heart? We all...

Tunisia is very much the opposite of South Africa. We have the most Southern point of Africa, they the most Northern point. We drive on the left side of the road, they on the right. South Africa's main religion is Christianity and Tunisia's dominant religion is Islam.
After two months of training and preparation the day finally arrived for the international leg of our Global Challenge journey to begin! It was with much excitement and expectation that our entire group of 36 students got on the midnight flight form Johannesburg to Dar Es Salam. On arrival we stepped out into the pressing humidity of an early morning in Tanzania. Everyone scurried about to pick up their bags and hurry off to catch the next mode of transport which would take us to our various destinations. When the commotion died down it became evident that my bag might...
It is now several months since I knew Im going on the journey. It was a great time. A time where I had to focus on God for provision and a clear mind. I still need a lot of money in the bank account, but I know it is already paid by God, its just not yet visible for us in the account. All the money on earth belongs to our DAD and He will pour out when He wants to. Thank you Lord that you have already provided for me and my teammates! A little bit of how the money came in: ...
Northbound book of records found the smallest and biggest apple of all time at the local Greek market in Athens. The market was such an invigorating experience with all the beautiful colors and fresh produce available. It was tantalizing just to look at. There were more than 9 different kinds of olives on display and we could also taste some of them. The colors of all the fresh fruit and vegetables painted the most beautiful picture. The Greek people are also very friendly! We were able to taste some of the different kinds of meat and sausage available. I was blessed by a free banana, which...
Aloha, my name is Thandie Dumisani, and one week from this Monday I will be heading to join Global Challenge Expeditions. I am overwhelmed and amazed at what God has done and is going to do in my life. I have no idea what to expect ahead but I do know that God has drawn me to this point and I also know this; as I think about this journey ahead, my heart begins to ache for several things. But all is explained in Isaiah 55: “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money,...
Wow it has been such an incredible past few weeks. We have found ourselves drenched in truth, confronted with law, and resting in grace as we spent time delving into the word, digging deep foundations for hostels, being challenged by our past and the hidden parts we keep locked up in the recesses of our hearts. I cannot begin to explain in words what it has been like to experience the freedom and power of the Holy Spirit as I just let go and let Him take control! But what does any of that matter if it does not change...
