OAXACA, MEXICO - Silver team conquers challenge!

OAXACA, MEXICO - Silver team conquers challenge!
Only by a mere few seconds were the silver team able to be the first to complete the challenge in Oaxaca. At the scorching temperatures of midday in Mexico the silver team ran at least 7-8 blocks to get to the local market. We had the lovely opportunity to taste 3 different kinds of delicious Mexican chocolate as well as having to buy a very interesting local delicacy which was to be eaten at the Passeo Juarez El Llano whilst making a video recording. It was a very close call as both teams were huffing and puffing on each others...

Zanzibar- not only picture perfect beaches

Zanzibar is not only a honeymoon destination, but also an island of poor people hungry and ready for the knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Zanzibar was Arab territory for centuries. They brought slavery and Islam onto the island.  Slavery was abolished, but the overwhelming influence of Islam lingered. 95 % of the population in Zanzibar is Moslem, most of them very devoted. Few women are educated, and speak only Swahili.  8-22 December a team of 10 young people will visit the island to serve and support the few Christians in Zanzibar. We will stay in a town called Bububu on the west coast....

The Tale Of The Hairy Coconut

The Tale Of The Hairy Coconut

Venezuela. A country that has been sitting on the drawing board of Distant Worlds for many months. A name that has been written on our itinerary and on our hearts. And finally, a country that we can say we have been able to share the Good News with.

Due to turmoil within the country's borders, Distant Worlds was kept from going to Venezuela. We detoured to Santa Marta for ten days, waiting upon The Lord for our next step. Sure enough, while praying, Venezuela seeped into our prayers again. Here is a point-form summary of how we were able to enter Venezuela.

Beautiful Turkey

Istanbul! How cool was it to be in one city on two different continents!!!! That blew my mind! But what caught me first is how alive everything was. Driving from the airport in Asia to our guesthouse in Europe (I know.. It sounds quite cool.) I saw that this city definitely never sleeps. Buildings light up and dance, all around amazing tulip plantations show you which way to go. I was captivated by the beauty of Turkey. My heart ached at the sight of everything. I knew that this would be my favorite country! When we reached Mavi Guesthouse we...

Screaming at God in Peru

Screaming at God in Peru
Today we visited a remote village in the middle of the Andes mountains - people who never have or very seldom see any other people than those in their village and has never heard the gospel. What a privilege. We saw how 7-year-olds walk hours of VERY steep mountains, up and down, in the rain and in the cold just to go to school, alone. Wow. We had the awesome opportunity to give them the living word of God!!! We felt God lead us to do a drama about how we so easily make recipes of "How to pray..." Of...
