Portugal, checked.

Hallo al die mooi mense.   Ek wil sommer net eerstens baie dankie se vir almal se gebede en omgee,  julle kan weet dat dit ´n huge verskil maak!   Portugal was ´n amazing experience gewees! Ons het by mense gebly van die local gemeente in Massana.  Dit is so paar kilometer buite Lisbon .  Die mense was so goed vir ons en het ons op hulle hande gedra.     Ons het Fatima gaan besoek, dit is ´n baie baie groot Rooms Katolieke Kerk.  Daar was ´n diens gewees toe ons daar was.  Die kerk glo dat Maria daar aan...

Amazing Grace...

Dear Beloved WOW! I’m lost for words... The past 17 days have been amazing! Hard to believe that so much can happen in such a short time.  I’ve experienced people, places, circumstances & opinions which have touched me to my very core. I’ve fallen in love with God’s world, God’s people & God’s heart.  I’ve been blessed with new eyes. Egypt:  A nation in need of hope & salvation, without realising it. A country oblivious of the beauty they have been blessed with.  Living among the people gave me new appreciation for my beloved country, my beloved people & our...

Three Bananas for the bus

Three Bananas for the bus
For the last few days the Red and Silver team have split up on the Tibetan plateau, serving the only Christians in two little towns renowned for their Buddhist monasteries.   They served in two little café’s and interacting and sharing the gospel with visitors.   I stayed a few days with both teams, this is a story of a single Christian Chinese lady living in a small little town.   3500 meters above sea level.   For the purpose of her safety, we'll leave her name unknown. She runs a little restaurant in   town.   No running water...

Tears of hope, dreams and visions...

<!-- @page { margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } --> July 2010 So there I sat in a living room in Addis Ababa listening to the story of a JUST adopted kid from Ethiopia. His adoptive parents had to prolong their stay a few times to wait for the adoption to be approved. Their boy was clasified as a Mingy (cursed/dirty) boy. He's punishment would have been death. But God saved him – hisbiological parents protected him against all advice. And now he's on his way to start a new life with LIVING hope and new parents...

Nope, it's better...

Expectations shattered!!! Everyone had some form of preconceived idea before embarking on this journey (even if it was just letting your mind run away with it for a few seconds), but man... was that far of from reality! There is so much distractions in the world we live in today, most of the time that we're not even aware of.  But it is in times like these that you realize what true intimacy with our Savior Jesus Christ is, when He is all you have to hold on to. Immanuel orphanage has been such a touching time so far.  The...

GUATEMALA DISASTER FUND

GUATEMALA DISASTER FUND
Hurricane Agatha that struck the south of Mexico, Guatemala and El Salvador has left a wake of destruction, devastation and dead bodies.   With countless families loosing lives, homes and possessions we find ourselves in the midst of great need. Having hit on 29 May 2010, shortly after the Northbound team left, the effects are still being felt with problems far from over. With the hurricane comes torrential rain causing mudslides and rockslides leaving everything in near proximity buried. Panajachel, a town in the southwest Guatemalan highlands on the shore of Lake Atitlan, has been rather affected as well as those...
