My life changed in so many ways and I came to a piont in my life where I can't imagine myself not working for...

Biko, big smile...

Biko, big smile...
The story of Biko When I arrived in the small Lesotho village of Hlakoti for the first time years ago I met Biko… It took me some time to get all my thoughts in order about our time in Lesotho. When we arrived this time around, I remembered my first visit to this small village named Hlakoti. A boy came towards me and I recognized him as one of the older boys that has been there since the first time I took a team there 4 years ago. The scene played in my mind of when the nurse told me...

Estelle's First Northbound GCX Blog

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Dear family, friends and all interested! I safely arrived in Jeffrey's Bay on 12 January 2010! I am in the northbound team and I'm very happy to say that I have an awesome team and wonderful team leaders. I can now also say that they are definitely almost even closer than family at the moment (more about that later…). All the Global Challenge leadership are amazing people and I am wonderfully surprised by their friendliness, helpfulness, how they make us feel so welcome and how pleasant and caring they are. We are receiving training...

The year of maybe not getting everything I want, but definitely getting everything I need.

The year of maybe not getting everything I want, but definitely getting everything I need.
I found a picture with these words quoted: and it helped me to realise what 2012 should be about. My whole life, up to now, I almost always got everything I wanted, but not always what I needed. I am at a point in my life where I am beginning to understand a lot of things, but the more I understand, the more I feel like nothing makes any sense. I feel like the more I learn, the less I know. I believe the reason why I feel this way is because I am learning from the wrong sources... Institutions...

The start of an amazing journey

I thought that  this year's journey would start when we flew to India at the end of Feb, but God had other plans. From the time I left home on monday the 11th of Jan He has been growing and stretching and teaching me. The people are not nearly as scary as I first thought they were! When we got to share our stories with each other in a group this weekend God showed me that no matter how different we are (and we are VERY different) we are all in the same place in Christ, and we are all...

Skrif se: "Blessed is the man whose strength is in the Lord, who's heart is set on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem". You can call me blessed!   Ons het 6 Januarie hier aangekom en ingeboek in...
