 The 3 weeks we had in New Zealand was amazing. Spending time with my host-parents from last year and the youth from the Afrikaans church was a privilege. I could see the hunger they have for the Lord and how much they really need Him. It was encouraging for me to share with them what the Lord has done in my life and how faithful he has been. Even though our time in Hong Kong was very short, it was very powerful and impacting. Like we would say in Afrikaans "dit was kort maar kragtig." We had the great privilege to stay with Albie's aunt and uncle, who are South Africans that moved to Hong Kong about 9 years ago. They were such a big blessing to us. They impacted every one of us so much, through their unconditional love and their way of giving and sacrificing so much of themselves and their time to us, without expecting anything in return. They opened up their home to us and made us feel part of their family, even though they never met us before and didn't really know us. We were completely undeserving of their love and blessings. We learned so much from them, just through the way that they live and do things.

I have come to the conclusion that i am a messy fractal, planted in the centre of the world, soaking up everything it sets before me. But that is why i have experienced His love. Because He wants me in the midst of my messy roots. Pulling them out one by one, replanting and reorganizing. Watering and nourishing. Until the mess isn’t rotten anymore. Hey, we have had the most amazing start to GCX One Year 2009!  38 Young adults arrived in JBAY yesterday for the base camp phase!    They will continue with preps. until 24 Feb. before leaving for Egipt and more than 20 countries in total as they share the love of Christ to a world in desperate need!   We call on you on to pray and support and read blogs regularly so that the Testimony of Christ can spread all over this world!   Blessings   Stefan and the South Bounders!!
