Angelo, Dee, Hen: Luke 10!

Angelo, Dee, Hen: Luke 10!
Hi, Angelo Petersen here! My Luke 10 experience. When we (De Necker, Henro and I) arrived in Mae Sot(In Thailand next to the Myanmar border) we didn’t know what the Lord expected us to do. We heard about a farmhouse school and we wanted to go and seek out our ‘man of peace’ there. But we couldn’t find it. Then we took a moment to pray together and ask the Lord exactly where he wanted us to go. We then found a hospital and felt we should go there and pray for the people there. We then found a nun...

A nations hope in the hands of a five year old.

The hope of a nation.

Written by Elzet - 19 May 2008

The dominating religion in Thailand is Buddhism, and because of all the foolish offerings and worship to Buddha, the future and hope of this nation lies within the children.

Deep within the poverty of Thailand, where families are struggling to provide enough food and not all the children can go to school, the streets are lined with spirit houses. The sun is reflecting off the gold statues and it is surrounded with bright coloured flags...

Building?

Thailand is really the most beautiful place I have ever seen, especially the islands at Phuket. It felt like we climbed in a postcard, white sand and blue water. The snorkelling is one of the best places I have ever snorkelled, the see is so calm and the visibility is very good.

The Aussie Adventures

The Aussie Adventures
Work Your Way has truly had a blessed time in Australia so far. We spent most our time at Mountain Trails Adventure Camp, where we helped out with Kids Camps by leading different activities such as: Archery Horse riding Abseiling Caving and dirt biking! We also did some other work projects with probably our biggest being building a Round Yard for the horses. That included some cutting really big trees down with a chainsaw... And then debarking them, putting posts into the ground and then using some threaded rod to set all the railings up (as seen below). We also...

More traveling experiences…

Traveling through Africa was quit an experience.  Traveling through China was in some ways similar and in others very distinct.

Death, where is your sting?

Are you willing to give it all? No matter what you may see or where you may walk. Though you may stare into the eyes of demons and monsters, will you still be able to worship His name? How deep is your love for Him.   Today I saw a man. A man who was barely able to walk because he was ridden with sickness. As I watched him I was able to clearly make out where one bone starts and another ends. Today I looked into the eyes of death.   You do not know how a heart can...

Two continents, one country

Two continents, one country
Sahlep n.  a traditional winter warmer, a common beverage in Turkey.  The powder of Sahlep is sold in a ready-to-prepare form, to be mixed with cold milk or water, boiled until it gets thick so that it can really sooth our sore throats and take away that cold during the blistery winter days. The dust of cinnamon makes it even more pleasurable.  It is thick, it is sweet, it is comforting.    I would like to use this delicious drink, made out of orchids, as a metaphor to describe my time in Turkey:   As we arrived with a lot...

 By: Elizma

This past month in Thailand has been an indescribable blessing to me! Except for all the WONDERFUL people, food and assignments we had, it's been a real special time of experiencing God's presence and learning at my Father's feet!

She’s Special

She’s Special
With tears in my eyes and a song in my heart I realised that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life! It's hard to verbally express God's love so putting it into deeds seems easier. In a way it feels like I'm overflowing with His love and He's pouring it into the lives of the woman around me. God permitting I want to keep on doing this and being this for the rest of my life! It all started in Malaysia; on our last day there we had a course on discovering and developing our...
