"See The Nations through the People’s Eyes"

"See The Nations through the People’s Eyes"
What an absolute privilege it is to be able to share in the lives of the locals. This opportunity is only possible by the grace of God. Thank you Lord for showing me just a glimpse of your beautiful world and all the beautiful people of it. God holds no measure of time, everything is always going on in his vision. That is how I feel about this year, there is no way I can fit it into one year, 2012, oh no! This year will be with me every year from now onwards and what I have learnt will...

Building of lives...and buildings

Normal 0 Way up in the mountain with an awesome view over Lake Atitlan, we had the opportunity to build a house for a family.   Over the course of the week we had several tasks to complete. We had to build steps that lead to the house, the new building and build up a wall to prevent further erosion by the water coming down from the mountain. The first day on site started out by collecting stones of various sizes from all over the mountain to start with the first steps while some of the others started to work...

Luke 10

A bit about my Luke 10 journey. So we started at about 6:00 am on the 21st with the Luke 10 journey.  All together 9 people. We started out in Guatemala and went through El Salvador.  When we went through the El Salvador border into Honduras, we split into 3 smaller teams of 3 people each.  By this time it was dark, we had no money, no food and only the clothes that we had on. The challenge was taking nothing and just trusting on the Lord for provision in everything. So the challenge started.   We hitched a ride all the way through to the...

VerryNiceSee(Varanasi)

Want to test your faith, come to India. After a few weeks in India we have already seen that God provides in magnificent ways. We arrived in Dehli and after a few nights of recovering from hearing people sniff, spit and pretend to think that West Indies and South Africa were in the same continent we got on a train to Kota. When we arrived in Kota we met up with our contact person who then took us to the orphanage where we scraped, sanded, washed and painted the front and side of a church where we not only preached...

Building?

Thailand is really the most beautiful place I have ever seen, especially the islands at Phuket. It felt like we climbed in a postcard, white sand and blue water. The snorkelling is one of the best places I have ever snorkelled, the see is so calm and the visibility is very good.

Driftwood

Wow what a month! The first couple of weeks in training have already been an  adventure in its self and I have so many amazing story's, revalations and testimonies to share. I don't have much time now but I do want to share one idea that has been pressed on my heart for this year and for the future. We are called to be driftwood.

It's all about Jesus!

Hey all:) When I was thinking about what to write with regard to what I have experienced in training so far my initial thinking was to talk about all the amazing things God has done. To go into detailed stories about seeing God genuinely save people, seeing His faithfulness time and time again, stories of the beginnings of an expected, unstoppable revival in JBay. I was even tempted to share some of the funny stories and adventures I have had, the people I have met or even the way my eyes started sweating on the day I left friends and...

This is where it all started.

Since my last blog so much has happened. I cannot tell it all. One of the top moments for me was when we watched the sun set over the old city from Mt. Olives and when a Muslim said the words he wants to show his family the Bible. He gave his heat to Christ moments after!!

Land of smiles

Thailand has been fantastic! Our team has developed so much in terms of unity as well as individually in the Spirit. How can one not have increasing faith after being sustained by God for more than a week. All of our Luke 10 experiences were majestic and to the purest form, a Father spoiling His children. Going into a stage where we started asking questions about our futures, this new faith He has given us tends to the fears and uncertainties about our lives after Global. God is good and sovereign. He has proven Himself faithful beyond measure and through...

Street Evangelism

Street Evangelism In my time I have spent in New Zealand, I have had a awesome opportunity to live with people who live out their passion for Christ in their everyday life. Finding an irreversible passion for Christ to be glorified in my life this year, it was brilliant to have their examples. I have found though, that sometimes they have a struggle and want to have more of the Holy Spirit and God’s presence in their everyday lives. God has given me this revelation in my time here. We have been involved in street evangelism for three Saturday’s in...
